NOT GIVING UP WAS ENOUGH

Wow! Time really flies so fast. It feels like yesterday I remember how I was so worried of how I can be to do this or that and fast forward to today, I already crossed most of those bridges. I’m really grateful to God for his love, mercies, grace, protection, guidance and for everything that I can’t even mention now. The truth is, He has been with me every step of the way. This year has been filled with laughter, goals, friendships, memories, pains, rejections, uncertainties and so much more but by God’s grace, I’m still here trying to talk about how it has been so far.

The long and short of how my year has been is that it hasn’t been easy. And that is because I have continuously experienced growth in every aspect of my life. I remember someone once said that growth is uncomfortable, this year made me realize and accept that. I thought this year would be different for me in the aspect of always crying but nah, it was almost the same as other years if not worse. I’d cry because some things felt unbearable but those tears weren’t for waste, they pushed me to seek to be better.

One of the highlights of this year for me was when I feel really sick. I thought I wasn’t going to make it. Nothing around me made sense anymore, all I wanted was to be fine again. My heart goes out to all the amazing people in my life that stood by me during that time. They literally did so much for me that if left for me, I won’t ever be able to repay them. I was reminded once again that the life I live wasn’t mine to own but God’s. There were other highlights but I’m just going to keep those ones to myself for now.

My major achievement for this year will be not giving up. For me, everything in my life is a major achievement whether small or big. And through out this year, everything about me has literally been tested. I was pushed to the ground so many times and I was given thousands of reasons to give up but somehow, God didn’t let me give up even when that was what I wanted and for me, that is a major achievement. You know how you will be going through something that is so difficult and you tell yourself to just give up, I have been there uncountable times this year. In some cases, I even gave up but how I rose up again, it just has to be God.

For the rest part of the year that is left, I look forward to holding on tight but letting GO(D). I have so much I believe I can still achieve before the year comes to an end and I’m going to work prayerfully to make it happen. Most especially, I started something to improve on myself and I hope I make really good progress at it before this year ends. It is something I believe I can accomplish as long as I put my mind to it and I’m going to give it my all.
