Professionalism Is Cool, But A More Is Better
To the best of my understanding a career is knowledge twits towards a persons professional career. This could be learnt in a formal way which involves enrolling into an institution with an organized setting which have all the human and material equipments in place. It could also be an informal setting which is a vocational way that can either involve learning a skill or trade.
Both the formal and informal careers do have a time duration that is to say one is expected to gain professiency within that particular time and he is allowed to go practice what is learnt.
On can have one or more career based on the persons area of interest. Growing up I saw myself as one who have interest in many things that's in relation to skills and I went all out to learn them. My intention for all that was, I don't know where I may find myself tomorrow and the one that will be needed there. Those times of learning was not so easy for me because many people felt I was wasting my time and money. Now on the formal career, I am a Public Administrator with Human Resource Management as my major which was the course I want led of the onset and I went all out to get it.
Talking about having multiple career, friends I will not lie to you at all, in our world today especially my country it is important for one to multi task or else hunger will finish you and your family. No matter how little that comes from the other side Hussle it will help to cushion a lot of effect from some sides. Things are not smiling any longer and we don't just have to pretend over it.
I have a family friend who works in a school for a pay, professionally she studied Agriculture but today she is teaching mathematics in a school and collects a little money, that's not my main point...the point now is, she runs extra lessons with the kids in that environment and the kind of money she makes from there in a money will pay her salary by four.
A lot of things have been bastardized and if one should focus just on his profession and not look for other means of income, hunger will carry him to where he does not know. The place of professionalism is very good because it will help one to bring out his best in that particular field which for now will not work well in my country because everyone is just desirous of a way to help himself out of difficulty. Imagine a medical doctor who found himself in the banking hall as an accountant, what's the relationship between a doctor and an account or even a family friend who is a geographer but is a manager in one of the reputable micro finance banks in my dear country. Some of these my people entered into the space with the mind to gather some money to start their own establishment. It is not so juicy any where so they apply the principle of a bird at hand worth two in the bush.
As I wrap up, we keep doing our best in the place of improving ourselves with the believe that a day will come when opportunity will come our way. It is better that opportunity meets us prepared than we wait for it to come before we go forth to prepare ourselves.
