How important is my health to my work?

My ECG Result
Hello hive learner, how are you doing today? One of the things one can do to enjoy life is to maintain his/her health. I strongly believe “health is wealth".
I have seen wealthy people who could not enjoy their wealth due to the state of their health. I remember a patient that told the doctor to do whatever it takes for him to be healed. He was referred to a different hospital, and he hired a doctor to carry him around. After spending millions of naira, he died from the sickness.
He had the money but there was no solution to his health problem.
Last week, I was having constant headaches, chest and body pains.
Last Thursday, I decided to use my HMO for the first time . I went to my HMO hospital to check my health status . The first person that attended to me was a nurse, and she checked my blood pressure.
After checking my blood, she sent the report to a consultant. I entered her office and she said, “sit down and make yourself comfortable".
Though, I know my Blood pressure and sugar level already. She didn't know that I'm also in the health line because I used a different hospital to register my HMO.
She said, “your blood pressure is 127/86 which is ok. Do you have anything you want to complain about?.
I replied, Yes doctor! I am having discomfort in the left side of my chest, and scratches in my body.
“How did the crash happen?” The first time I experienced it was three days when I used a public toilet; and for 2 months now, it is still scratching me.
She wrote a drug for me and told me to take it to the pharmacy for collection.
She told them to go for an ECG test in the hospital lab. I went there and the woman in-charge told me to remove all the clothes except my boxer.
I removed the clothes, watch and bracelet in my hand, and I was tested. Within 5 minutes, the result came out and she told me to take the result to the consultant back.

When I entered the office, I gave her the result of the test. After she read the result, she took the result to another person to read and she came back. The first question she asked me was, “Do you smoke?" And I replied ‘’no’. She asked another question again, “Do you drink alcohol?" And I said ‘no’.

The Drugs I collected from pharmacy
"nothing much but I'm going to prescribe drugs for you”.
That was how she prescribed drugs for me.
He told me I should not smoke and drink.
Right now I'm very ok, there is no headache, chest and body pain again.

Let check some benefits of Routine Medical check-up
Minimize the cost: the earlier we detect certain health challenges the lower the cost.
There was a man that was rushed to hospital where my friend managed. The last time he came to the hospital, the doctor told him that sugar level was high, and prescribed foods and drugs he would be eating.
In January this year, the man was tested again and he had diabetes. The drugs they prescribed for him were more expensive than the former one.

It helps us to understand health risk and my current health status: right now, I understand what I should do and what I should not do. Though, I don't smoke and drink alcohol but I knew from the doctor that it is not good for me.

Health awareness: I was educated very well about my health. The doctor educated me about my health and concerning the ECG test, she said, “there is nothing to worry about. But if you experience any challenges while taking the drug, you should come here”.

It gives peace of mind and happiness : medical check-up gives one rest of mind and happiness. It makes one aware of things one can do to remain healthy.

Conclusion, a healthy one is a person that pursue success. I remember after I was recruited, they asked for my medical reports. They knew that for them to employ me, I must be physically fit.
Therefore, it is a best thing to know one health status, and health challenges. It will help them to know how to cure, manage and prevent himself/ herself.

Who knows what the result from the ECG showed? It's possibly a health issue that could become a pain if you smoked or drank alcohol.

Routine checks do help, especially with finding out ailments early enough and treating them before they escalate.
I'm glad you're okay now. Be fine!
