Dear Hive Friend and Hive Learner Members,

Made with Grmini and Edited in Phone

We are living in a competitive world where we all are running from the start of the day to the end of the day. The pressure is always on all of us, irrespective of age or gender; it may be from work, family, society, or our surroundings. Even a kid nowadays feels pressured or stressed, and mostly it is from the parents themselves. I was surprised when my 8-year-old kid told me that she is feeling too busy. I feel very bad when in the morning I ask her to wake up and she is always like, "I want to sleep for some more time," but I remind her that time is ticking and that to be on time for school, she has to get up and start acting.
The world is full of distractions, pressure, noise, etc., and these are endless. This is why we need some quiet time, where we must disconnect from all those and give our mind and body a relaxing environment. We need a time where we should disconnect from all those thoughts which are hammering inside our heads continuously. Our minds are working 24/7, so providing a pleasant environment for our mind is also one essential activity we all are mostly ignoring. Yoga and meditation are something I started practicing nowadays to give a pause to all the thoughts in my mind and for relaxing my body, mind, and soul.

This started four months ago when I saw a message in the WhatsApp group of our residential society about a yoga session in our society. Initially, it was arranged by the club committee for one month, so it was free for all members so that they could experience yoga and get a taste of it. I am a person who liked yoga since my childhood and was practicing some poses during my childhood. They were very limited and from the textbooks we had. After school, the habit of practicing yoga vanished, so nowadays, I am totally disconnected from the same.
When I saw the message, I was very excited as I would be able to meet like-minded people from my society, a well-trained instructor, and also get a chance to connect again with yoga. The classes started, and for convenience, evening timings were chosen. After four weeks, the instructor told us that from next week, for one day, we would do meditation and Yoga Nidra. I was again super excited as I would get an experience which is new to me and I knew would be super beneficial for my body and mind.
The day arrived and, to be honest, the experience was too good. I would love to add that disconnecting from your thoughts is not easy as the mind keeps jumping, but still, it's too relaxing. Other than this, the Vishnu pose is one I feel is very relaxing. Just lie down on your right side, hold your head with one hand with the elbow on the floor, and close your eyes.

I feel energetic after the meditation and now days I am practicing at least one a week. Some time at home also I just sit and close my eyes to disconnect which is also very helpful.
