I bet one of the feelings you get at that moment is nothing short of purity and innocence and as a parent or guardian of that child, you would always want to shield your child from negativity, in form of bad energy or character c, even physically allowing your child to be carried by anyone is through proper scrutiny of the inviduals, some new moms go as far as giving anyone that wants to hold her chid, be it family or friend a hand sanitizer, to protect such child from germs

In such light, it is logical to say that children are born with a clean slate, devoid of good or bad traits. What they tend to become in later years as they grow are often traits and charactersotten from their primary caregiver, either their parent or guardian. Have you ever seen a child raised by a grandparent, how they tend to often act like an old soul, not because they are old, but because of who raised them. It is at this stage that children pick up characters that become a foundation of their social being. Therefore, parents and guardians must be careful about their actions around their children, as they learn by mimicking what they do. Your child is a reflection of you.

One recent event that made me pause and reflect on this very topic yesterday was how my daughter reacted when she was frantically looking for one leg of her school shoes as she was getting late for school, she kept saying "Lord Jesus help my life o!" I had to take a look at the small madam again. Of course, this is how I often react when I'm stressed, and now she is copying the same in a seemingly helpless situation. I imagined, what if what I usually say was a swear word, no doubt she will be repeating the same as well, subconsciously.

But children don't learn from their parents alone, they go to school, make friends, some even go to a boarding school and then the university, so there is every tendency for a child to go astray from his or her parent's teaching and succumb to peer pressure for the purpose of feeling among. That is why parenting never stops, laying that good foundation in their heart when they were little, and easily controllable is also important as well.

As Christians, we are told to train up our children in the way we want them to be, so when they grow, they will not depart from that training because they will always reflect on where they are coming from.

As for the bad ones that still go astray, no matter the teaching they got, be it whether they were pastor's children or not, still comes to choice as an individual, you can try your best as a parent, still, you children become adults and have the power of choice of what they want for themselves and how they want to live their lives. We must learn to let go and trust in the foundation we've laid.
