Forgetfulness, I believe happens to every human at one point in our lives, no matter how smart we think we are, it might be due to a hectic work schedule, age, or even hormones can play a fast one on us, ever heard of 'mummy brain'? I personally have had my share of this experience after having my first child, easily forgetting where I kept things which was so unlike me, in all forgetfulness is normal when it doesn't occur too often.

I've heard and read cases of people who forget to eat, and I'm not even surprised because this is a lifestyle I've lived with for years until I intentionally made the effort to change and take my health and nutrition seriously.

For the first time in my life, I experienced what it felt like to lose one's phone, all due to this very forgetfulness reason, I had planned to write a daily blog post about this incident, and thanks to the current Hive learners' topic, I can do that now.

I had finished making a dress that ought to be delivered the next day, but since I was already done and had plans to pick up some items I had ordered from an address that was close to my client's office, I decided to kill two birds with one stone, pick the item, then from there take a tricycle to deliver the dress to my client.

When I arrived at the address for pickup, I realized I had to change plans because the item was too big for me to carry to my client's office before heading back home, so I dropped it off with the seller, promising to come back for it in 30 minutes, not knowing that I had dropped my phone on the counter in the process of trying to decide what to do next.

The worst part of it was that my phone's battery was down, and in such cases, I usually just put my phone in my handbag because it was of no use holding it in my hand since it had just one percent of battery and I have to call my client when I get to her nearest bus stop.

I left the pick-up address, took a tricycle and as planned when I got to her nearest bus stop, I began searching for my phone frantically in my handbag, but it was nowhere to be found, and at that moment I was very sure I had put it in my bag, several thoughts started running through my mind, if I had been robbed while in the tricycle because I have a friend who had encountered same, I began panicking, thinking about all my files, my sim cards, worst still, I left my ATM card at the back covered with my phone's pouch, to crown it all, I am not financially strong enough to run a new phone expense at the moment, all of these thought made me weak.

I called on the first bike I saw to pursue the tricycle, which we eventually caught on with, but the previous passenger I was with had already highlighted, this further firmed my belief that I had indeed been robbed.

I managed to locate my client's office and got her dress delivered feeling sad the whole time and thinking of how I was gonna raise money for a new phone, accepting my fate, only for me to arrive at the pickup address again and get my phone handed to me by the lady that had attended to me, it was a joyous and relieving moment for me, I couldn't stop thanking her because if she hadn't seen it on time, another customer would have taken my phone, and I still wouldn't know how I lost it, because till now, I still can't remember myself dropping my phone on that counter.

I don't want to ever feel that way again, so I'm intentionally putting the effort to give full concentration and not leave my phone behind when I'm at any place, I was lucky that day, but i might not be lucky a second time.
