It's another interesting edition of the Hive Learners creative Sunday edition, and as usual, I will be sharing with us an easy sewing DIY project, palazzo trousers, which I made with so much love for my younger cousin sister, who came to spend the holiday with us, a Few days ago, I wore similar trouser as she accompanied me to the market, well, I received a beautiful compliment from her as she admired my palazzo, so I decided to make her one, after all, it is the season of love, giving and sharing, and my sewing talent comes through for me, especially this season.

Palazzo is one of the easiest trousers to make, as long as you get the body measurement right.

Materials used

• Ankara fabric
• matching colored thread
• Zipper

Cutting and sewing process

• I started by drafting the trouser pattern right on the fabric before cutting it out, and this is the front pattern

• Then using the front pattern, I traced and cut out the back pattern, which is usually bigger than the front.

• Next, I cut out the pocket pattern, which I sewed to the front sides after joining the crotch area

• Continuing, I cut the trouser waistbands, I have ironed interfacing on the wrong side of the fabric for more strength,

• I sewed the waistbands of both front and back and also sewed in the zipper to the back of the trousers.

• Finally, I joined the trousers by the sides and inseam area and also hemmed it neatly, giving it a good press.

And that completes the making process of this palazzo trouser.
