Sometimes when I sit down to begin t reflect and think about my life, as if traveling is one of my hobbies though I don't do deliberately but I just found myself into it.
Towards the end of the year like this, is normally clumsy and busy for me because of the array of programmes for me to attend. When I saw this edition of the contest, I was so excited and can't wait to drop my entry. It has always been an amazing moment and engaging on this glorious platform.
Directly or indirectly all of us are involved in one journey or the other as part of life process. One of the characteristics of living things is the capacity to move from one point to another. In this post, i intend to share my recent experience on the journey I embarked on recently. The last time I traveled was just last week.
I don't travel without any reason but there are things that normally necessitate one to travel. I would share how I got myself privileged to go to Jos the state capital of plateau State. I was fortunate to be selected persons for the journey. They needed just five people to train them so that they can train others as adolescent and children. It was an indelible experience for me.
We left our base in the afternoon. As the journey gets half, we had a flat tire which caused us some few time to get it fixed. Immediately that was done, the car was too low which affected the shocked observer compressed. A little pothole had impact on the vehicle. At last we got to Jos around five in the evening. Kai...the weather completely changed for me because Jos is cooler than where I came from.
From the track record, plateau State is one of the peaceful and accommodative state we have in Nigeria. It has a common slogan known as Land of peace and tourism. It has lots of sites of attraction where recreational activities can be done.
I had the opportunity to check on their museum even though is not as beautiful as it was before. There aren't archives so much instead the whole place is gradually turning to a nursery bed area where plants are grown. There are few people selling some archaeological stuff.
During my time out in Jos, my friend and I strolled to the international headquarters of ECWA church. That was my first time of entering the surrounding where I saw their radio station by the way. We went straight to the reception to look for someone even though he away for a different assignment elsewhere.
Hmmmm there is another beautiful tea joint that we visited in the cool of the night. A cup of tea and bread wasn't like this usual price again. There's an increase because of the crunch economy we have. We had to warm ourselves with it that night before we retired and slept off.
If I would be allowed to travel every week to Jos it won't be a bad idea for me. One of the challenge that might discourage me would be the bad roads as if I should disappeared and find myself in Jos.
It was a great experience in general and would like to keep traveling and exploring over and over again.
Travelling is something that is my love. I have seen many people who are afraid of travelling and who are not into purposeless travelling. You know I even love to do purposeless travelling.
Wow this is awesome. You could invite me subsequently to enjoy this adventure
would traveling everyweek drill a big hole in our wallet?
Oh yes. The last I went at least my wallet increased.
I wouldn't mind traveling for workshop weekly that's what I meant.
Most workshops you returned reimbursed
It sounds like a really interesting place. I hope you can go again.
Oh yes. I wouldn't mind going with you also hahahahahah
Thanks
I've equally been to Jos and I agree with you that it is a cool city with quite a number of tourist centers. Unfortunately, the city was ravaged by insecurity and this remains a threat.
Hmmm it's true sir. We are praying for restoration of the former plateau. Very soon, things would be better.
I pray same also. Thank you.
