BEING A LADDER FOR OTHERS

It's another beautiful week and guess what? The mid of the week. The theme for this edition is quite amazing because it seems somehow for me. As part of my philosophy since I was growing up, never you leave where you are the same instead make an impact.

The greatest thing one could do in life is to simplify things for others even though this has been abused especially in the African set up. A typical African person believes that one must suffer before attaining any reasonable height on earth. When it comes to children upbringing, there is this wrong perspective that allows the child to go through the rugged process just as the parent has gone through. This idea is totally absurd for me. If my child faces exact thing I suffered hmmm it means I have not done my home work .

I wouldn't allow my child to pass through the challenges I faced rather I would ensure that I eliminate most of the obstacles so that he would have a safe landing. Say no to challenges. In this post, I intend to share some of the life stories I had even recently and in the course of my life as a father.

I have been blessed with two powerful kids. Both of them are currently in school in a private institution. The big question is why did I choose private? Can I afford the school fees? Hmmm I have been raised up in a position.

In a difficult situation but should my children have similar experiences? No. Should I allow my children to suffer before I pay for their essential needs? To me, any parent that does not make things better and easier for his children is not good.
Experience is not always the best teacher because at times when the atmosphere and environment is kept good, the child by default enjoys lots of benefits.

Recently I had to improvise some instructional aid which will facilitate learning and their assimilation level. I have trying all within my reach to ensure that the two kids start reading and spelling on time.

I had so many academic challenges but my children should have a better safe landing than myself.

I may not be able to overcome all the obstacles but I would try my positive best to secure a better now and future for them. None of my parents knew where I schooled very well hmmm the worst of it was my tertiary education. All they heard was that I graduated and I am going for NYSC . No one cares to know where I was living, how is life dealing with me? Who are my friends?
Let me share the story of a clergyman I knew for a while now. He monitors virtually all their essential movements to school. Everyday he calls to find out from the teacher. He never allowed the school to detect everything for him. I asked him why are you doing like this?He said no one was there to guide him therefore he would never allow his children to pass through same thing.

I need to be a springboard for them.
My choice is the best for them because no one was there to help me, to guide me, to have extra lessons with me. I couldn't have anyone to sit with me and share about the hurdles of life.
My weakness should be their strength 💪
