Welcome to Abuja 🤗

(edited)

You need to see the way I always smile whenever am preparing to embark on a journey. The feeling is usually priceless despite the fact it isn't my first time traveling. I really don't know if am the only one that finds it difficult to sleep a day to when am to set out on my journey because have tried catching some sleep but sleep never seems to come...... like I always look forward to that morning I will pack my bag and baggages and zoomed to the park.

Aside the sleepless night stuff, there are numerous thoughts going through my mind like how will I be welcomed when I arrive, will the environment be friendly to me and so many thoughts 💭 probably that's why I hardly catch some sleep. 🤷

Honestly I must say traveling is fun, the sight of hills and mountains, rivers and other wonders of nature makes it even more intriguing that's why I prefer sitting close to the window seat. But then in as much as I love traveling, I travel only when there is a need to. I respect people privacy just the same way I respect mine so that's why I don't travel to peoples house if it is not for an important course.

Talking about the last time I traveled was 2022 about two years back where I traveled to the federal capital of Nigeria Abuja. I left kaduna to Abuja for a one year training course in housing construction. At that period I wasn't really doing anything so serious so when my aunt reached out to my dad about the offer, I quickly grabbed the opportunity that too I felt like leaving my home environment for a while to another new location. My journey to Abuja was via road trip and I must confess it was one of the most hectic journey I have embarked in my life. While going, from the out sketch of kaduna we met with hold up that seems like it wasn't going to end, and journey that was to take us at least 2-3hrs reaching destination, took us six good hours.

I so much love the environment and living in one of the estate built by the Millard Fuller Foundation was awesome too. I love the concept of the estate, the surrounding is filled with flowers and trees to give us a refreshing moment. It is even more interesting because each blocks has an almond tree in the front and I ate lots and lots of it fruit. The only problem I had with the environment was their inability to pay for their electricity bill which affected our estate cause the power holding company had to bring down the light of the whole community which made it a tog of war to get our devices charged. Aside that I love everything about the environment.

Embarking on this same trip to the city of Abuja is something I look forward too but then going back there would be for at least a two to three weeks visit and not as a student of a construction academy. 😊
