A Deal Is Deal; surrogacy & parental power

Surrogacy has become one of the emotionally complex paths to parenthood, for many couples struggling with child birth infertility, same sex couples, women that are unable to carry pregnancy due to one health condition or the other surrogacy is more than a medical procedure it is now a lifeline.

Surrogacy is an arrangement whereby a woman gets pregnant and gives birth to a child on behalf of another woman — the process is done medically done, for example; the egg of a woman and the sperm of a man who both desire to have a child is put into another woman’s body to form a baby, after the whole process the donor carries the baby in her womb for 9 months and there after gives birth to the baby — mind you the surrogate doesn’t have any rights to the baby because she signed legal documents which states this and yes she has been honoured because she would paid for it.

We must understand that the surrogate doesn’t have any genetic link to the baby except the surrogate donated her egg to be used in the process but if not she doesn’t have any parental rights to the baby regardless of this, the surrogate plays the most important role in the baby’s life because she gave life life to that baby, emotionally they are tied together , the bond could be very strong that most surrogates end up fighting to have a baby that’s not theirs, in most cases the surrogate and the couple doesn’t engage in an affair because it might lead to future troubles in the sense that the surrogate might want to gain control over the baby.

Before a person goes through this path of making money, she should be able to sit down and think about it very well because, its not as easy as others think it is. Being a surrogate mother is another journey on its own in the sense that the surrogate might even lose her life during the process if any complications should come up, and apart from this an agreement signed is an agreement that should be carried out.
Before signing the legal documents, the surrogate should read every terms and conditions because there’s definitely no going back.

For as far as I know there’s the rule that says, after the baby has been has been given birth to, there’s no connection between the surrogate, which means the surrogate is not the mother of the baby and the baby doesn’t belong to the surrogate, it’s actually a win win situation because the surrogate went in for the money and the couple went in for the baby, since everyone has what they all went in for then I believe there shouldn’t be issues.

Legally after the surrogate must have given birth to that baby, then its all over. She has nothing to do with that baby because more time given to that surrogate because of breast milk might create some dangerous bond between the prospective mother and the baby and trust me the couple in need of the baby doesn’t need that, a deal is a deal and surrogate must work with legal rules.
