Yes, all these things are good, but what will be the end product? Are we getting wiser or duller? Researchers has made us understand that reading of hard-print aids retention far more than sort copy. I believe hard print also enable one “interact more with the author” than a sort copy. You can jolt or make notes on it, can mark and underline, and you can fold an important page. The best thing about it is that, It can be passed to generations to come. Many have developed different eye issues due to staying too long with the screen.
Virtually everyone, both young and old now wear glasses. Then glasses were made to make reading easier or for complicated eyes problems, but now the majority wear them because of early exposure to screens which leads to eye complications. You can never walk the street without seeing both the old and the young with their faces glued to the phone. We don’t recognize each other by face again but by voice!
There are many jobs on the internet now, and they are fetching us cool cash, but if this internet crashes one day, how are we going to survive? Robots are doing the work now, if they stop functioning, how will we get the job done? Did I say man should start doing it all, no, but we should not be too dependent on them? There system can get corrupted, and this may lead to loss of life because we “don’t know how”. Robots are doing it for us. We will need to read a big manual before we can do that task!
Our predecessors are way smarter than us. This is why. For them to do something. They need to experience it firsthand. They are the manual themselves. Always thinking of ways to improve it, they make use of their brain, tried and tried again until it becomes a reality. Only a few are of that disposition right now.
It may be stressful, but this has brought us here, the easy life they see ahead, but if we also didn’t move our butt, I don’t think we will be able to discover new things. There are still great things yet to be exploited. New things to be discovered, but who is going to do this job. Definitely not the one leaving the screen only for a cup of coffee. Our comfort zone has made us become lazy and complacent.
We believe everything is at the tip of our hands, but this has made us to be less innovative, no more critical thinking again. That Aha! Period when new ideas comes in is gradually becoming a thing of the past. We now have a lot of knowledge at our disposal that has made us less knowledgeable. There is an adage in Yoruba land that says,“Ohun ti a ko ba jiya fun kii tojo, ohun ti a ba fi ara sise fun ni pe lowo eni” That is, what you don't work for, you won’t know how to maintain it.

I do agree with you on this point of yours.
I think we need to do better with the resources we have presently.
We have not discovered it all, so we must not be satisfied with where we are.
Thank you for stopping by
Thank you 😊
that part about the internet crashing, will that ever happen? I think it will only get better but the part in which too much screen time is damaging the eyes is real!
But it can actually happen in movies I guess. 🤔 Just trying to widen my imagination. Looking into it again anything is possilbe🤐
Thanks the support 🥰
