The Money Knowledge, Not Just The Book Knowledge
Cryptocurrency and forex trading are two of the major drivers of financial independence, and channels of financial gain. I see them as the new age means to financial capacity, when understood and employed well. It's currently a wave in the financial world, drawing in many people. Of course, who doesn't want to attain a good financial capacity? As a result, we see many people trooping in time after time. At the same time, many are trooping out.
The fact that many are trooping in while many are trooping out calls for a consideration of what these financial channels are, and what they constitute. The issue is that many come into them with high hopes of making it big, with little or no knowledge, and no patience for the process. We can't neglect the fact that some of these arise from the biased projection given to it from those who market their courses or their wins, luring in others. In this age, I'll say everyone should have the basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and forex.
Everyone means everyone. It includes the kids in schools too. And to answer whether these should be taught in school? Yes, they should. The earlier the kids know and get acquainted with the current financial system, the better. I presume if many of us had this knowledge early on in life, we would have made better financial decisions and our financial status wouldn't be the same as it is today. So, why not save the younger generation from this mistake and teach them this, considering how fast and far the world is advancing－financially even?
I remember a long time back when I was having a good amount of money, which if I had invested in cryptocurrency, would have made a big difference. A few years later, through contact with someone who was into forex trading and cryptocurrency, I got to realise these financial investments. I just wonder if I had known this earlier. It proved to me in agreement with the popular saying; “knowledge is power,” that indeed knowledge is a factor in one's success in whatever endeavour in life.
This knowledge will help them build a better financial life, early on as well. It shouldn't be about imposing it on them to do it. Rather a basic to intermediate level of knowledge for those who might be willing to take the risk. The good thing is that everyone has access to these channels to financial gain, with no sort of qualification per se, so even the kid in school isn't left out. With all that, the advancing financial system won't be a new thing to them. Nevertheless, their schooling shouldn't be made to look useless.
This shouldn't be about cryptocurrency and forex alone. The kids should be taught financial knowledge as a whole, I consider. They should get the knowledge of what risk means, the possibilities of scams and identifiers to them, the stock market, the current, progressive and future financial system, and a whole lot in this context. It would help to build a financially literate generation, not only book literates. In the long run, it could lead to a financial reform; a reduction in financially inclined crimes.
