Somehow, I was certain and quick to vote on this topic. I presume it would be an interesting one for others as well. And yes, that seems true, as we now have the topic here to discuss in this edition. It's an interesting conversation and a relevant discussion to have as I've come across conversations that suggested this, with one particularly asking if AI is smarter than humans. This is not just so that I can give my take, but also to find out the thoughts and leanings of others on this interesting discourse.

The world we're in today is heavily immersed in AI tools, to the extent that basically everything today has an AI alternative to go about it. Various professional fields have AI supporting their work. The thing is, these AI tools are serving well and bringing about optimum service and delivery, sometimes with cost effectiveness and importantly, less time and effort. We can't deny how great a tool and innovation AI has been. Consequently, it has made the human mind look less functional or effective compared to what AI does.
Is AI then smarter than humans? Well, I beg to differ here. It's quite an irony but that's it for me. I don't agree that AI is smarter than humans. I know we're overwhelmed by the work of AI, which obviously and without doubt everyone should be. I'm basically using AI even to generate the images to use for this post. Chuckles. However, I hold on to the premise that humans (our minds) supersede AI. Well, that's what I think and maybe I can present why to you.
I don't subscribe to the appealing notion that AI is smarter than humans because AI itself is a product of the human mind. I can't then say that the created is greater than the creator. Maybe this is because AI has done and is doing some unbelievable “magic” in our world today. But I didn't really see such conversations with the invention of the calculator and computer systems that could do arithmetic, reasoning and other functions faster and easier than the human mind could.

The human mind remains superior to me because it actually birthed the whole AI thing and is still birthing and will keep birthing more. AI will stop and won't advance once the human mind refuses to advance and grow in imagination and deep thinking. This then affirms the human mind stands as the superior, and controller even of AI. If AI can't thrive without a human mind orchestrating its reality and then programming it to do what it wants it to, I think there's clearly one that sits atop.
AI can't advance without human intervention and orchestration. If AI creation and advancement without an intelligent human mind is void and null, then it's considerable to say the human mind is a smarter reality than AI. The human mind is only limited by what we choose to limit it to. There's a lot packed in it that any artificial system doesn't suffice, can't replace nor supersede. Much like technology in general, from which AI stems, it only does what it can to the extent it was programmed by the human mind.
Images are AI generated.
AI tools have made things easier than before
