EN-PT TBT from Buenos Aires is coming!

Some destinations leave a lasting impression on us, and I'm so happy to have discovered little pieces of heaven here in Brazil. But I also have my favorites in the neighboring country, and it's no secret that I loved the city of Buenos Aires, in Argentina.

I've been there twice and I'm planning a third!

The first time I was in Buenos Aires was in January 2024. I made this trip from the state of Paraná, Brazil, and my destination was the capital of the neighboring country. I traveled only with my wife, and we paved the way for future trips with the family.

On this occasion, we put together an itinerary that included a lot of walking and passing through several classic tourist attractions in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires. We decided to stay in the Palermo area and I believe it was a good decision. We loved the neighborhood and felt safe moving around everywhere.

We used several modes of urban transportation, being able to enjoy the wonders of the neighboring neighborhoods. Our experience has shown that it is possible to travel long distances using public transportation SUBE, which always took us very close to our final destinations. Secondly, we added the use of UBER, always paying by credit card, and finally the use of TAXI, which was a good option if you have ARS pesos on hand.

Among our visits, I can highlight:

• La Recoleta, a neighborhood where there is a famous cemetery, which is certainly something strange to think about, but at the same time wonderful to see!

• Mercado San Telmo, where we were squeezed in the middle of the crowd that frequents the place on the weekends, closing streets and turning the quiet neighborhood into a bustling place of people of different nationalities!

• Caminito, a narrow street where we found street tango and several souvenir shops, as well as abundant gastronomy.

• La Bombonera, the most beloved stadium in the country, which is just a few blocks from Caminito;

Of course, we visited other places, sampling the cuisine of the best restaurant in the world, Don Julio, for example, and also the fantastic and unmissable bookstore El Grand Ateneo. All of this is part of the magic of the place, and we highly recommend this experience.

The second time we were in Buenos Aires was just passing through, as a family trip that would take place in the same year, in September 2024. This time, we took the kids to see the snow, which was at the foot of the Aconcagua mountain. To do this, we had to fly to Mendoza, and then take a bus to the snow park.

We still managed to enjoy BA and its cafes, its tree-lined streets and a bit of its magic at the Casa Rosada and other public access points.

Our next visit is approaching, it should take place in June 2025, and we are in the planning phase of the itinerary. Some things are already certain: we will see a cultural performance at the Teatro Colón.

Teatro Colón is the main opera house in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Acoustically, it is considered one of the five best theaters in the world. The Teatro Colón has been visited by the greatest singers and opera companies in the world. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Buenos Aires, and it is now possible to take a guided tour of the theater.

We are also organizing a visit to a rooftop, which are bars on high, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset over the city. We have already been to one of them, on a very special occasion, and unfortunately I lost the photos of the event due to a problem with my cell phone.

So we will have two confirmed attractions, and others will be added throughout our available time. Of course, we will take many walks on the local streets and get to know everything possible and different! I hope to bring many posts to HIVE!

Alguns destinos nos marcam para sempre, e fico muito feliz por ter conhecido pequenos pedaços de céu aqui no Brasil. Mas também tenho meus preferidos no país vizinho, e não é segredo para ninguém que eu amei a cidade de Buenos Aires, na Argentina.

Estiva lá por duas vezes e estou planejando a terceira!

A primeira vez que estive em Buenos Aires foi em janeiro de 2024. Fiz essa viagem desde o estado do Paraná, Brasil, e tive como destino a capital do país vizinho. Viajei apenas com minha esposa, e desbravamos o caminho para futuramente viajar com a família.

Nesta oportunidade montamos um roteiro que previa muita caminhada e a passagem por diversos pontos turísticos clássicos da ciudád autónoma de Buenos Aires. Decidimos por nos hospedar na região de Palermo e acredito que foi uma decisão acertada. Adoramos o bairro e nos sentimos seguros para nos movimentar por todos os lados.

Utilizamos diversos modais de transporte urbano, conseguindo aproveitar as maravilhas dos bairros vizinhos. Nossa experiência mostrou que é possível fazer grandes trechos usando transporte público SUBE, o que nos levou sempre até bem próximo dos nossos destinos finais. Adicionamos em segundo lugar o uso de UBER sempre com pagamento em cartão de crédito, e por fim o uso de TAXI que se apresentou como uma boa opção se você possuir PESOS ARS em mãos.

Dentre as nossas visitas posso destacar:

• La Recoleta, bairro onde existe o famoso cemitério, que com certeza é algo estranho de se pensar, ao mesmo tempo que é maravilhoso de se conhecer!

• Mercado San Telmo, onde fomos prensados em meio à multidão que frequenta o local no final de semana, fechando ruas e tornando o bairro pacato em um fervo de pessoas de diferentes nacionalidades!

• Caminito, uma ruela onde encontramos o tango de rua e diversas lojas de lembranças de viagem, além de gastronomia abundante.

• La bombonera, o estádio mais amado do país, que é poucas quadras do Caminito;

É claro que estivemos em outros locais, provando a culinária do melhor restaurante do mundo, Don Julio, por exemplo, e também na fantástica e imperdível livraria El Grand Ateneo. Tudo isso faz parte da magia do local, e recomendamos demais essa experiência.

A segunda vez que estivemos em Buenos Aires foi apenas de passagem, sendo uma viagem em família, que viria a acontecer no mesmo ano, em setembro de 2024. Neste caso levamos as crianças para conhecer a neve, que estava aos pés da montanha Aconcágua. Para isso precisamos voar até Mendoza, e depois seguir de ônibus até o parque de neve.

Ainda assim conseguimos aproveitar BA e suas cafeterias, suas ruas arborizadas e um pouco de sua mágica na Casa Rosada e outros pontos de acesso público.

Nossa próxima visita está se aproximando, deve acontecer no mês de junho de 2025, e estamos em fase de planejamento de roteiro. Algumas coisas já estão certas: vamos assistir alguma apresentação cultura no Teatro Colón.

Também estamos organizando a visita a um rooftop, que são bares nas alturas, onde é possível degustar da cidade um belo pôr-do-sol. Já estivemos um deles, em uma ocasião muito especial, e infelizmente eu perdi as fotos do evento devido a um problema em meu celular.
