There is no job under the sun that does not require one tool or the other to function efficiently especially in this digital era. Even the most simplest tasks operates with their own unique equipment assigned to carry out certain roles whether they are domestic, office related or the everyday business of life. Sometimes, the most complex jobs do not even rely on the ground breaking potentials of high end tech to achieve its objectives but rather focus its full attention on basic tools that are sometimes exempted from being office equipment to do its bidding.

These equipments usually ranges from a massive registry(books & papers) to the tiny office pin. The relevance of these overlooked tools can never be overemphasized as they have a way of completing the office with even generating any noise from their usage. While mechanical machineries are busy Huffing and puffing up a storm, these quiet powerhouses are also actively working non-stop even in the absence of electricity (I guess that's what makes them champions in their own rights) . Amongst all the tools I have worked with over the years, A Pen has proved to be one of my most vital instruments. It might seem like just an ordinary object, replaceable even when it goes missing. However I can easily point out countless times I have been rendered useless because there was no biro to facilitate productivity since my job heavily relies on one way more often than not.

Working as the assistant to the secretary of a grassroot political leader threw me into a whole new world, one I never saw coming even in my wildest dreams. The experience has been both educative and thrilling with lessons learned from mistakes made. One of my constant mistakes was forgetting to go to the office with a pen which is arguably one of the most important tool as a staff. Every single day, I'd leave the house without a pen and would only realize this error after entering my workspace.

This continued for awhile and thanks to a colleague who was always willing to lend me hers, I encountered no problem whatsoever. It did not last for long as she soon got tired and decided to teach me a lesson by not giving me one of her pens when I got to work. That day I felt completely useless for a few minutes and since everyone was in on the whole teachable moment, I had no option but to shamefully go outside the Secretariat to buy three brand new writing objects when I got the chance. I learnt a valuable lesson day about always being prepared especially on official duties. It's been over four months now and since that day I have never gone to work without more than two pens.

It is extremely difficult to achieve any visible goal without a pen writing down everything. Even in this digital era, the office still requires the pen to write as it also helps to boost creative thinking and the depths of critical thinking. Without this tiny tool, productivity will face a downward spiral and even leave the office empty even when it is filled with heavy machineries.
Thank you.
