CELEBRATION BEYOND BELIEF

What does celebration means to you?
Do you think it concerns the people involved or just a general thing and an avenue to involve yourself in the participation of it.

I have been deliberating on this for a while now and here is my thoughts on it.

Firstly, celebration to me is the gathering of people to rejoice over something meaningful and of great concern.

Celebration is not just for a particular set of people involved. I feel it a celebration for all even if you don't believe in what is being celebrated. I see celebration to be an opportunity to share in people's joy, wish them well and also a time of reunion.

Celebration should not be a marker of division or separation, but should rather remind us that we are all one regardless of our tribe and beliefs. Unity and understanding is what should hold us. There is no need to be bitter against those who don't share in your belief and see things differently. Life is more than that and there is so much to share and help each other with.

Today,Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid el-Fitr and I rejoice with them. It not easy to fast for 30 days. Today indeed worth celebrating so therefore, I wish you all more celebration to come in the land of the living.
