They call it a civilized world but it has both an advantage and disadvantages, gone are the days when there was no advanced machines to help people yet things are getting done and people are living happily with no worries but with all the new things invented, some people are miserable because they can't afford it while some are getting more corrupt because of what they use their money to buy...
The harms social media has done to relationship is more than the good..
The days when we had no social media, we had more lasting relationships, people do not just ask anyone out hiding behind their phones as it is very easy to ask 10 girls out on any social media platform but back then, you have to face who you want to be with in a relationship, it takes a lot of time to woo girls back then and also people respect other people's partner unlike nowadays that even friends sleep with their friends partner, it is so easy to get this kind of things done once you have each other's contact and start chatting online...
Some relationships have crumbled due to what partners update, take whatsapp social media app for an example...
A girl in a relationship may start updating status about being heartbroken and single meanwhile she is dating, this will hurt her boyfriend but she will tell him she was just catching cruise but from this cruise, some guys that saw this her status would private message her and out of many guys that dm her, she might be attracted to one, flirting start and at the end will be the reason for her failed relationship...
Social media is the hunting ground for those girls doing hook up, they can easily get a client from there since it is easier to connect with people all around the world through social media, so many housewives have lost their dignity due to friends they connect with online that they end up cheating on their husband
It is only getting worst as people are no longer ashamed to display their stupidity on socia media, nowadays people do crazy things to trend not knowing the kind of effect it can have on them in future...
I would admit social media also help lovers and partners to be able to communicate easily, it ease them of the stress of having to see each other daily and also some important messages can be delivered through social media all round the world but this won't cover up for the bad effect it has on relationships..
