Not Every Advantage is worth the Risk

As much as the offer is tempting, having a chip in my brain that gives me a retentive memory is a superpower that many of us wanted; students need it to excel in their studies, I mean it is annoying to keep reading the same textbooks over and over again because we want to pass an examination, business men would also love this invention, what is the need to keep tracks of their sales in a sales journal when they can just have it stored in their memory, I mean this chip makes life easier but...

If we look at the other inventions by science, we would realize that every rose has its thorn, and as much as science and technology have beauty and advantages, there are also dangers and downsides.

A good example is the Brazilian Butt Lift, also known as BBL, which women do. I have heard of cases where it went bad within a few weeks and resulted in a deflated butt. Those people end up appreciating and wanting back their normal flat butt, but unfortunately, they can't. The only thing they have now is a deflated butt, which often claims their life if they don't receive the proper and right treatment immediately.

It worked great for some people, or maybe they are just good at pretending they are good, but we never can tell because clothes cover our secrets, but the complicated ones we have seen so far give us an idea of what could go wrong and the consequences.

The advantage of having a chip implanted in our brain and its potential function is impressive, but we must consider the consequences or potential risks associated with having such a device in our bodies... First, we do not know the motive of those who created it; maybe they want to use it to control us. Imagine having a time bomb ticking in your head, and the moment you disobey or become a threat, boom!

Secondly, I have trust issues, and I can never allow such chips in my brain. Being an overthinker, a lot of things would be running in my head like what I shared above about the time bomb, so it is a no for me!.

My brain is not the best or even close; I forget what I read easily, I forget things I'm doing sometimes, but I believe I am not the only one suffering from this, and some people even suffer worse... Imagine no longer remembering your family because of brain damage.

We are humans and not born to be perfect. A perfect brain is nice, but the price to be paid for it may be heavy! At least I know I am safe and no threat of any chip exploding in my head someday.
