Gone are the days of authentic news when most people do not have access to the internet, To know what is going on in your state or country, you have to tune in to your radio or television to hear the news on TV channels...

Things are different now in this era that most people have easy access to the internet, anyone can easily sit in the comfort of their room and tweet or post nonsense and people will fall for it...
It got worse when prank content was introduced, we don't even know what is real or not anymore and as for me, I just see most things I read or listen to now as a joke because that is how they want us to see it.
Some content creators dress in red clothes and perform ritual baths in a market and label it as content and people believe it is indeed content, It could be content truly but what if it is not content based on the evil things going on in the world right now and they just use content to cover up for what they are doing.
There was another one, some men were seen killing a lady in a room for ritual again and they posted it, I would admit that people were agitated and wanted to know the truth behind this but again after a few days, it was revealed that it was content, I mean I saw blood and how the lady was butchered and yea it could be content but must we keep fooling the people with nonsense stuff like this, all this false alarm and news would make people turn a blind eye when it eventually happens!.

The youth and citizens are one part of the problem but what about the government also giving false statements, news was circulating years ago about how a snake swallowed funds, Imagine the audacity for someone to come up with such news, is this country now a joke run by clowns.
The unfortunate thing is that even though we know it is a lie, there is nothing we can do about it, In A democratic government the people have no rights, and the bold ones are scared to challenge the ruling government for fear of being picked or their bank account being freezer, there is nothing democratic about this government at all, it still looks like we were in the military regime and that I think would be better than this pretense going on.
The corruption has eaten so deep into the system that I fear there is no more solution and all the citizens can do is watch how the country gets ruined.
When it comes to news, I don't believe the authenticity anymore, they announce what they want us to hear and believe.

News channels are biased and social media are filled with tons of fake news and that's the thing for what I lost interest in most of the social media. I am done with it.

That's the really tricky part with some of these prank content. Sometimes, it's just a cover up for something else that's actually happening behind the scenes. And when the prank actually becomes real, nobody will like to believe it because they're already used to it being a prank. Definitely an upside down world we live in!

Imagine someone doing juju in town and calling it content. That’s really wild but people will believe it’s context given what’s being done on TikTok and other social media platforms. It’s really scary at this point.

if someone cries out for help online now, you will see a lot of people saying it is a prank, not real... the only time they believe something is when it takes a life, that is how rotten the world has become

Social Media has eaten up the hearts and brains of so many people now, especially in my beloved country Nigeria now that I heard we can monetise Facebook, they are all doing anything all in the name of content to go viral.
The whole thing is crazy, really no authentication news or content either out there again
you get it right, people just forming stories to monetize, 90 percent of the news and content are fake
