Lessons hidden in other people's stories

Hello Learners

There are so many things to learn outside school; in fact, school only teaches like 40 percent of what we need to know. It doesn't teach us some things that will help us navigate life.

One thing I love about myself is that I learn a lot from other people's stories. I never let what happened to them repeat itself in my life. I am a good listener, and I love to hear sad stories because they teach me more about life. It is not only useful to me; I also use it to advise those who are close to me or people who seek it.

School doesn't teach us about betrayal, it doesn't teach us about fake friends, people who act like they care, they smile at you, but they wish bad for you.

My friend circle is very small, many people mistake allies, business partners, neighbours, colleagues as their friends, and this is why it hurts so much when those people don't act up to their expectations...

A close relative shares his story with me, a story of betrayal and deceit. He had many friends in his community, so he thought! because they do party, drink, and gist together, most of them also work in the same company, it happened that it reached a time when a new chairman was to be elected in the community, and his so-called friends encouraged him to contest that they were going to vote for him.

He believed them and acted on their words, on the day to select a new leader, out of 21 people who were on seat, not a single person voted for him, the most painful was his close friend who also didn't vote for him, they visit each other house and eat from the same dish, how could he betray him that way!

Why did they lead him on when they knew they were not going to support him, if not that they planned to humiliate him, They ended up giving more vote to a new face who just built his house in the estate, he would never forget that day, and I knew how hurt he was with the way he tells the story.

Stories like this are what teach me that it is not by how many friends you have but how loyal they are to you; it is better to have 1 friend who will never betray you than to be friends with Billy and nanny goats who talk good at your front but want your downfall.

It also teaches me not to rely solely on anyone because humans change with time, and most importantly, trust no one.. Strangers can't betray you because they do not know your weakness; it is always someone close to you!

Be polite to all, but avoid being overly friendly in a way that they will see you finish. Once see finish enter your matter, you become less important and they might not see you as worthy of a good position, this is another lesson I learnt from the story.

I can feel the betrayal he faced. In my school life, I didn't want to be captain, but all my classmates encouraged me to participate as a candidate. I participated for them even if I didn't want but in the end, I received only one vote, and the vote was mine. I knew that such a thing might happen, but I didn't expect I would not get a single vote from others because I was there to participate for them. Whatever, it was a lesson for me.

Exactly! Life teaches us what school never will. And knowing how to listen and learn from other people's pain is a powerful way to protect yourself

We do not have to experience it before we learn; other people's stories will help.

Life situations of others can really teach us things in which we should follow

May we not rely on those who wish us bad.

Omo... See set up...
The only thing that will make me angry in this story is if this man is still friends with the people who betrayed him. Because this is enough reason to block them and never look back. But it's all good.

Their time was not the social media era lol, and they are all old men now, in fact, some of them have grown old and died already...but he knew he was in the midst of people who wish him bad and he stopped associating with all of them, he even stopped attending their meeting.
