This is a scary thing to think about, let alone imagine. It is already hard enough to survive in a place you grew up in, where you have family, friends, and familiar surroundings to rely on when things get tough. Finding yourself stranded in a completely strange place with no money, no help, and no one you know is a different kind of challenge entirely.
It becomes even more dangerous when you consider the bad things happening around the world today. There are places some people would never willingly travel to, let alone find themselves there suddenly. In some of these places, strangers are viewed with suspicion and are not always treated kindly.
If I found myself in such a situation, my first concern would be accommodation. But I canβt simply go around asking strangers to let me stay in their homes. Most people would refuse, and rightly so. They would be wondering: What if this stranger dies overnight? How do I prove I know nothing about it? What if he is not who he claims to be? What if he is trying to gain my trust so he can harm me?
At the same time, I would be asking myself similar questions. What if the person offering help is a kidnapper? What if I willingly walk into danger because I am desperate for shelter?
So what exactly would I do if I had no money and no help?
For this scenario, I would assume my phone has already been taken away. If I still had my phone, then I would still have access to help because I could contact family or friends.

The easiest solution would be to convince a stranger to let me make a phone call, so my family could come to my rescue. However, the challenge here is to become a functional member of this strange land without relying on outside help.
If the strange land were a village, survival would be easier. Villages are usually close-knit communities where people know one another. I would find my way to the palace of the king or village chief and explain that I am stranded and looking for both shelter and work. I believe they would connect me with opportunities such as farming or other forms of labour. I would start there and gradually build myself up until I could find better ways to earn money and settle down.
If it were a city, things would be much harder. In many cities, even neighbours behave like strangers. Everyone is focused on their own survival, making it difficult to find help or accommodation.
The only practical solution I can think of is finding a way to earn enough money to buy a phone. I may be stranded without money, but my memory, knowledge, and skills remain intact. Once I get access to a phone and the digital world again, I can put my online skills to work and start rebuilding my life from scratch.

Hehehe. At least village king and the community will house you for a while until you get back on your feet. Being in a strange land can be tough but I think we would definitely survive, especially having this Nigerian blood in you still π
