I over paid for an online product
I was not a fan of Ordering things online until this year, reason is that I always think about the delivery fee that is involved, and why would I order provisions and food online when they sell it in my area.
Another reason why I don't order things online is to avoid the disappointment of what you ordered for Vs what you got, You can't see me order clothes online because I don't want a situation whereby they would deliver oversized clothes to me and it would be a problem to get a refund, I prefer going to boutiques to see and try out what I want to buy before paying and that has been the best way for me to avoid something that won't size me.
I started Ordering things online because of Oraimo, their products are top-notch [I am not one of their agents😁] I just love their product and what made me try it out the first time was the amazing discount they offer.
My readers would remember I made a post about the power bank and mp3 i got from them, it was ordered online and for the power bank, I paid 26 000 Naira instead of the actual price of 35 000 Naira and the delivery is also free! tell me why I won't jump on such an offer.
The experience with Oraimo made me love ordering stuff online, so while scrolling Facebook, I saw this table that I love and decided to order for it.
I got a call from them 15 minutes after I ordered it which was super fast, the man called to inform me that they do not have the white color of that table but there are other colors available which I rejected saying I want the white color and he promised to get back to me whenever they have it.
An hour later, he called again saying the table is now available and the delivery man is already on his way to my place I said no problem, everything was just happening so fast.
Normally, it takes 1 or 2 weeks to receive my order but this one i ordered and got it that same day.

Anyway I got the product and when I assembled it, I love what I got, it was exactly what I ordered but the thing is I overpaid for it.
I checked Jumia to confirm the price of the table and I saw 20 000 Naira, and I paid 36 000 Naira!
Did I just waste 16 000 naira? but I consoled myself with the fact that I loved what I got.
What if I had ordered 20 000 Naira own and they deliver something I don't like?
I overpaid for it but the product was satisfying and that is what really matters.

It's paying when one pays double for a product. It's frustrating and can be annoying too.
I love one point you mentioned, what if the 20,000 doesn't turn out to be what you really wanted? People can be funny at times.

I have seen the table earlier and it's really a cool one and I liked it very much. In my case, I don't make any online orders because I have learned to see others because I have seen many people get bad or duplicate products from online orders. It's better to stay on the safe side.

yea, I have also seen people being displeased on what they got ... We just need to be careful or better still buy our stuff offline where we can see them before paying

Alot of people fall in the situation of getting what the don't want due to the invisible physicality of the product they want to purchase.
I hardly order online but I prefer heading to seller shop instead
