Building a strong foundation for our kids in tech and coding

(edited)

The world has evolved, all thanks to science and technology... Humans are living a life far better than our forefathers, a life that won't have been possible without science and tech... We are the lucky generations, and it will only get better from here.

As the world is evolving, we must also evolve with it so we do not get left behind... The tech world is the hotcake, and people are rushing to it to the extent that it is now saturated, and even though it is still rewarding but some parts of it are not as rewarding as before.

Tech is not limited to coding, content creators, crypto, and blockchain; product managers and the like are also all part of tech.

A few months ago, a friend of mine who is a writer complained about how her boss keeps reducing her salary. He also stopped employing others and focused on using mostly Nigerians because they are ready to accept the job for a lower amount, which is a win for the boss. Also, for the new employers, at least they are no longer jobless, but the old workers feel cheated, yet nothing can be done about it... My point is, everyone can not be a tech bro/sis because the more people that are into it, the less rewarding it will be...

One thing I am sure of is that not everyone have what it takes to be a tech guru, there was a time I was interested in coding and fortunately for me, one of my boss was also learning and he already made some progress which he showed to me, he invited me to learn with him and I decided to take the class with him, few weeks to the class, I became bored cos I didn't understand anything, I lost interest in it and that was the end of the lesson... It was during that class that it dawned on me that I wasn't born for coding and not everyone has what it takes to learn it...

Having tech and coding as subjects in school is a good idea. It helps us to learn the basic things about it. We are now in a tech world, so knowing a few things won't hurt but will help us in navigating life. All the cockroaches drawn back then in school later turned out not to be useful in real life, but still we lose nothing, learning tech might not be beneficial to students who have no interest in it, but for the student who loves it, they have a good foundation and it will be easier for them to know more about it.

There is money in tech; this is what most people are saying, and there is no lie in it. I foresee a future where more people will be more interested in remote jobs, it is already happening, and the numbers will only keep increasing as time goes on.

Yeah, there is money in tech, but everyone can't be in that line.🙂

To me, I feel like anyone who wants to go into tech and coding should be ready to be extremely good at it
In that field, a lot of people are diverting into that feel and I feel like they may get to a point where the tech world may be overcrowded
Do you feel this same way?

some part of it is crowded already but the hard part isn't because not everyone can code.
