Why Old Times Felt More Peaceful Than Today

Nowadays so many sad incidents are happening around us as if war is going on everywhere and something or the other is going on all over the world due to which the whole world has become a little shaken. Earlier the situation was not like this, I will not say that there were no wars earlier, wars are happening all the time, now there are much less wars than before, if you look even 100 years ago, there would be so many wars going on all over the world and a lot of things would be happening, but I feel that such an atmosphere would not be there everywhere because there would be some times who would be peace loving. That's right, in every era, at every time, some or the other leader keeps getting born who keeps spreading stability all over the world, you can say. Although we have access to all kinds of comforts and amenities these days, we are connected to people in every way, and a lot is available around us, yet deep inside I feel a sense of emptiness.

I don't know whether you feel like this or not but I feel like this a lot because earlier the time was such that things were much more limited, now we have all kinds of comforts and facilities available to us, even after that we are very much disconnected from people and are not able to connect with anyone. I used to like the old days a lot better when letters used to be circulated or there was no other medium of communication and then life used to be much more peaceful and fake news used to spread less and people used to spend more of their time in their real life than on the phone. Yes, I would not say that nowadays we are not getting the most, nowadays we get everything instantly but this is making all the things much more ungrateful.

Look, I like to live a very simple life, I don't like complex things. Look, what do you need to live a life? A house, a job, a small family, your parents and farming. To me this seems like a peaceful light and we need more than this too. Do people run after money? Life is full and what do they get in the end? Nothing, nothing is achieved. Earlier the life of people used to be very simple. Earlier they used to do farming and used to eat whatever grain or anything was available or whenever there was any need for food, they used to go to the market and buy the stuff but nowadays things have changed a lot.

I like the old times better even though technology wasn't so advanced back then but people had value. Nowadays people are running after money and there is an endless race going on in which only money is seen and a person is judged on that basis and sometimes no matter how good a person is, if they don't have money then their habits have no value. Today's society has become so hollow that if you do a job then they think you have money, if you roam around like a poor person then they think what is there to talk about. This is too much. It is poor. Inequalities were there everywhere at all times, it was there earlier also, it was not that there was no discrimination of any kind earlier, discrimination was there earlier also and it will always continue but it is very much necessary to have a peace like this and I feel that it was there in the earlier times when there was less technology and people were much more connected with each other.

Nowadays it has become a world of selfishness and people remember each other only for their own selfishness, though we all have contacts of each other but how many people do you talk to regularly, yes there will be some people to whom your date is visible today or your family members, apart from that think for yourself how many numbers do you talk to in your contacts. But if you live in a village, then the people there are very much connected, they know everything about each other and I find that life very peaceful. Some time ago I went to my village, I felt very good and it seemed as if my old childhood days had come back, though they may not come back but the feeling that I had was a very good, a wonderful experience.
