From a Newbie to Helping Newbies: My Hive Journey

Well, nowadays the time has come that if someone helps you, you start doubting why this person helped me, what could be his motive behind it and a lot of things keep going on in our mind and we keep thinking a lot of things. But see, many times in our life it happens that some people inspire us and we also want to become like them, it can be anything, it depends on what you do and what kind of things you are interested in. Well some things or the other keep happening in everyone life and many people come and go in our life but there are some people who leave a very good reflection of themselves in our life and we also want to become like them. For many people, this could be an actor or a real super hero, everyone has different choices and they choose their inspirations accordingly. If I talk about myself in perspective I am not that kind of person, I think I am a bit practical and I feel that we should look at those people who are actually helping someone and not the role models that are shown to us.

Well, if you start anything, you will definitely face problems in it, but if you find someone to help you and support you, then things become much easier for you and the same thing happened with me a few years ago when I had joined Hive, before that it was Steemit> Yes, I have been here for a long time but after I created Hive a lot of things changed and I was a bit confused but then a lot of people guided me. Initially I did not understand much about it because I was not much interested in it but gradually when I used to see people's posts and saw how people make friends and what all they do, I also used to do the same. Wherever you are right now, it all depends on what things you have with you, I think your present is decided on that basis only and if you worry too much then you will not be able to go anywhere, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

If I talk about myself, here a lot of people motivated me and in the beginning I used to ask a lot of questions from them they are not a single person. I must have troubled a lot of people in the beginning, I feel that maybe some people would get irritated by my questions because sometimes I also get irritated. Because you have to tell the same thing again and again to different people, so in such a situation one sometimes backs off, but those people who helped me were very polite and they never felt like not helping me.

This inspires me a lot and now I also do the same, see, I will not call myself very powerful/popular but now I understand the things here, due to which whichever new user I see, if he makes any mistake then I go and give him some advice and then it is up to him how he takes it. Earlier there was only HP delegation system, later the option of RC delegation came which is much better. Whenever I see that someone (mostly new users) is doing quite well but are is just lacking something then I delegate them some RC which is very useful for them because in the beginning there is a lot of problem due to low RC. And I keep checking from time to time whether the RC to which I have delegated the user is active or not. If it is not active then I remove it or it is their choice as to why it is not active but I try my best to motivate people by giving a few votes as per my understanding and power xd (I don't have that much though , but I am building it slowly ).

But you cannot support everyone because everyone has a limit and many people get motivated and still keep going but my effort is that whoever is not regular. I message them personally in whatever way they are in contact with me and I keep telling them that you should be regular, post, comment, keep engaging in some way or the other nowadays you are getting quite good output even from short content. See, here it is not just posting, there is a lot through which you can earn and keep yourself busy, but if your daily life is stopping you from doing so, then that is a different matter.

If you have time then you must give time here and if you are an old user then you should help any new users you see and try to onboard the users and guide them properly because many people onboard people but do not give them proper guidelines due to which they leave again. Now a lot of improvements have been made as compared to earlier and a lot of tools have come here which are very useful and people use different types of tracking tools to track new users so that they can be motivated. But in the beginning you might get motivated but after that your opportunities (votes) reduce due to which people get disappointed but this should not happen because then it is up to you how you can make your mark here by using your skills.

So overall a lot of people have motivated me here and I am inspired by them due to which whenever any new user or any user is facing any kind of problem, I try to help them in whatever way I can, and if it is beyond my capacity, then I recommend them other users who can help them. Look, the thing I like most about Hive is that the people are so friendly and everyone helps each other out and motivates each other to stay here, and that's the hallmark of a good community (no place is perfect though ). I think I just want this trend to continue. Now there are AI tools are already available by which you can do a lot of things. I am thinking of creating something so that proper guidelines can be prepared for the new users and they get a chance to learn things in a very interactive way. I will try and see what happens.
