Are We Forgetting the Magic of Physical Books?

As you all know that Jeff Bezos is the owner of Amazon. When he started his online business, it was also an online bookstore, and in that, he used to sell only books to people. But now Amazon has started selling everything, and in this way, many such book stores have also come up, which sell books online; each one is different. We get all types of products on Amazon. And nowadays it is available on many online book stores, although a lot of things are available on Amazon itself, but there are many online book stores which provide you things at very low prices because see, the bigger the platform, the more fees they charge from you, if you have to buy something from a small online store, then in such a case you get the thing at a very low MRP (Minimum Retail Price).

Last year, some of my office friends were buying a lot of books together. We were finishing a lot of them all at once, and every so often, someone else would buy a fourth one to keep the burden from overwhelming anyone else. If we each ordered three books, we would each take one. Whoever finished the first book would take it back, and then the next person would take it. This went well for a while, but after a while, I lost interest in all this because the last book I read wasn't very interesting, which led me to lose interest. Nowadays, everything is available online. Many people prefer to read physical books, and many people prefer to read audiobooks /eBooks. When I needed to read for college, I downloaded a lot of books, price-related. I still have them, and they're sitting in my storage. At one point, you develop a hobby of collecting things, and some people even purchase books to collect them. My Amazon collection list is quite long and contains a large number of books. However, I removed them some time ago because I already have a lot of books that I can't read. I need to create a proper routine for them. Until recently, I used to read a few books daily, and some of them were quite interesting to me. Now, I've lost interest in them and want to rekindle that interest.

Benefits of reading books :

Look, if you read books, it benefits you in a way because you stay away from electronic devices during that time. This also gives your eyes a lot of rest. If you don't read books, you probably spend most of your time on your mobile phone or other electronic devices, which is quite obvious. Nowadays, you will find very few people who do not use any electronic devices. If there are such people around you, then it is also a good thing, and you should appreciate them all and learn such things from them so that you can also stay away from all these things.

Actually, there are a lot of benefits of reading books, your knowledge increases and secondly, if you spend time with books, then you definitely get benefit from it, be it any book in some form or the other, if you are reading self-learning books or want to gain some knowledge, that too is very interesting for you if you are reading about an interesting subject, then there are some people who are not able to get books, they do not have enough money to read the books they need and there are some people who can read books but they do not have time or do not want to read right now because see, all of you have time, it just depends on where you are using it.

Habit of reading:

I sometimes read books, but I don't feel like it that much these days. I'll try my best to get back into the old track. I have a collection of books, and that's all because my shelf is quite small, so I only have these many books on it. I think it's just for decoration, because there are so many books I want to read, but for some reason I can't. I don't know why, but I don't feel like reading books these days. But I'll try to start with books that are short enough or interesting enough to get me back into the same routine. If I can do that, it will be a good thing, and it will benefit me.

More Benefits :

Reading books has many benefits. First, it increases your knowledge. Second, if you read books, you stay away from electronic devices and avoid distractions to a great extent. And this is a great way to stay away from electronic devices. Many people read books in the morning, and some even read books at night to stay away from electronic devices and get to sleep on time. They follow this routine, which significantly impacts their daily schedule. Often, we all want to do many things but for some reason, we can't. I just want to say this to everyone: if you're unable to do them, then take some steps.

If you want to read books, keep books that you understand, and one day you'll definitely start reading. If you don't buy books, you may never be able to read them. But if you want to adopt good habits, you'll need some consistency and some motivation in the beginning.

I prefer a lot more physical books but not all are affordable especially the ones for college or university so I mustly studied online but when I read for pleasure I prefer the old paper ๐Ÿ˜˜

Yes you are right physical books are more comfortable to read. We all are used to physical books from our childhood days so we are kind of familiar and feel a kind of Bond with.

I think both formats have their own beauty and finding a balance between the two works best for me. I usually read manga/manhwa/manhua online and I have found comfort in it, also I have some physical books which my father game to me and when I read them I feel another kind of connection towards it which can't be explained so both works for me hehe. Anyway great post! ๐ŸŒท

Physical books are a very valuable resource. To give an example:

After World War II, when the friendship between Russia and the Allied countries ended, the Soviets altered photographs, proclamations, and many of the events that took place.
Western print media later served to prove the alterations that had been made to historical facts.

If books and information were only digital, only an AI would be enough to change the facts, and eventually everyone would believe that what is online is real.

The novel 1984 portrays this situation as fictional, altering photographs and books to alter history, but sadly, it is something that has been done in our real world. There have been dictators who, at one time or another, altered history books to exalt themselves or to claim divine gifts.

Books are the last guardians of our reality, the same goes for vinyl records. Nowadays, AIs are adding autotune to songs, and the real sound is being lost. Everything sounds perfect, but for connoisseurs, everything is increasingly fake.

My preferred method was books, too.
Kyunki usme notifications nahi aate naa๐Ÿคฃ.

But, I think the model is also evolving with Audible and audiobooks. I have seen many moving toward that format because it reduces the stress of going through word by word. and provides the ease that you can finish the book while being engaged in activities like Gym workout, walking, cooking. Multitasking.
Who knows with the new advancements like the neurolink and all maybe people will just download a file directly on the brain๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ. โ˜ฎ๏ธ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

In case of knowledge I think ebook also can do that but physical book can keep us stay far from technological devices which is good for our health. I think everything has their own advantages and disadvantages.

Nothing beats the smell of a book's pages as we read and immerse ourselves in its words...
