Hive Learners friends, I welcome you to the first contest of this week. This is a very interesting and useful topic, especially for parents whose children are still young. Some parents give their children mobile phones at a young age so that they are busy on their mobile phones and the parents do not have to take care of their children. We are currently going through a period of modern technology in which smartphones are a necessity for everyone. Using social media with smartphones is like our elders used to gather in one place in the old days and share information.
In this advanced era, the use of mobile phones has increased a lot, especially in rural areas of Pakistan. Smartphones are found in every home. People are connected to the internet and social media. Where this facility is available to adults, children are also fond of it. Now, the thing to think about is at what age children should be given smartphones and whether they should be able to use their social media accounts. I have come to know that some reports say that after 12 years, children should be given access to smartphones and social media, but some parents think that they do not provide facilities to children before the age of 16. The thing to think about is when children need smartphones. Some educational institutions recommend mobile phones to children for assignments. Children search for their educational materials on social media such as YouTube, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc., and take advantage of it. Smartphones are considered essential for them. One of the advantages of this is that when children are at school or the tuition center if they are late, parents can contact them. There may be a reason why you feel satisfied when you are in touch with your children.
The content uploaded on social media is inappropriate for children and has negative effects on children mentally and psychologically. This makes children feel inferior because nothing like what is shown on social media happens, but it has an immediate impact on the minds of children. Through the use of social media, children gain access to immoral content. Whatever is there is a style, it is harmful for both. Continuous use of mobile phones affects the eyes. Using smartphones makes children lose interest in their studies. Its use changes the sleeping and waking habits, which leads to sleep disturbances. Using social media, children isolate themselves and reduce their interaction with people.
To make this plan successful, it is first important that when children are given access to smartphones, it should be ensured that the smartphone is used for a specific time so that children do not experience mental stress and sleep disturbances. For this, it would be better to set working hours. Parents should install an app that prevents children from accessing immoral content.
Parents should give their children time and moral training so that children can positively use the internet. Children should be attracted to sports so that they have a positive impact on their physical health.
Finally, we can say that the use of mobile phones is beneficial for children. If they use it under their supervision, then children can benefit immensely from it, be it in the field of education or any other activity, because we all know that the use of mobile phones can be right or wrong. It depends on how we use it. If children are closely monitored and their activity on mobile phones is checked, then children can't use it negatively. These children are going to grow up and become our future, so why not highlight their mental abilities and train them in such a way that they can live their lives in a healthy and better way.

Finding the balance between technological evolution and the time our children must spend without these means is necessary to seek this balance, and we must make the decision in a considered and responsible way, always in favor of the well-being of our children who will be the future generations.
I agree if the use of smart phones can be well supervised then it's okay for the child to benefit from it.
