The first month of the new year is always a longitude month in the sight of most people especially employees that solely depends on their monthly income unlike entrepreneurs who could earn anytime as long as work comes in and this longitude like I would always call it, do happen because of how tremendously we have spent for the festive season in the previous of just concluded year. January then becomes a month of large stretch especially when we get to see it having 5 weeks. The big and great ranting then starts.
We can't conclude or generalize that this is how it is for everyone because some people have come to learn how to spend based on the budget they set and nothing can make them step out of the budget.
Whereas, for some people, the festive season is the period for them to spend and spoil themselves with almost all the income they were able to get or their savings for the year because they worked hard for it and must enjoy what they worked for.
No one disputes this point above but what's the essence of doing Dorime in December and then going extra broke in January? It doesn't really make sense right? For me, Yes it doesn't make sense.

Now let me take you through how you can maintain your purse sized budget and not going broke the following new year in my own ideas.
First, you have to set your mind on celebrating based on what you have and not competing with anyone. Be it blood relations or not cos most people spend lavishly because they don't want the other party, family or neighbor to do better than them and each year set to be for counting scores for the winner and loser.
Unfortunately, we can only stand to our feet the same way but we can't be hurt with matters the same way.
Secondly, write down the things you need to do for the season celebration and apply the law of economics which is the scale of preference. Prioritize the ones that are necessarily necessary and not just trying to bring every plan to life.

With these three small but mighty ideas of mine, I hope you are convinced and not confused on how to cut your coat according to your clothes (not size so you don't get shocked when your overdo brings you shortage of oblee)

Thanks grandma π
I love your plans. Thanks for sharing.
In this present age, if there is still anyone competing by spending what they don't have during this festive period, they deserve to be wiped with oriamo cord.
What is there to compete about? celebration is never about showing off but enjoying the time spent.
π I love the usage of oraimo cord cos there are indeed people like that o up till now that the economy isn't favourable.
Resetting their brain with cord seems appropriate π

It's a celebration, not a competition! If everyone understands their own circumstances and does their best, then there will be no disappointment. Celebrate genuinely and within your usual limits, and you'll have the best party!
Seriously that limit is needed to be pinned for everyone in our heads. Knowing the limit will allow you celebrate in your own way and it will still look great
