Hi creative people! Compliments of the season to you all.
It's been a little while here and it's so nice and great to be submitting an entry as the last entry for creative Sunday for the year 2025. So I'll be resuming back with this art portrait which is a self portrait for a client.
Details of the artwork:
Type: Pencil art
Size: 20by32
The tools I used are as follows:
So I started by sketching the picture on the paper as the foundation of any art piece and like I always say, no art piece would make sense without a proper sketch so I ensure to spend time as much as I can on my sketches cos any error done on the sketch would eventually affect the work result.

Moving on from the sketch, I proceeded to shading the jean trouser shorts that the client is putting on in the picture, bringing out the details bit by bit.

I proceeded to the slippers, shaded it so black to bring out the beauty of the slippers before I could move on from it.

And here, I proceeded to shade the legs and ensuring that it is black enough to bring out the beauty I want as well.

After which I proceeded to shade the hands, fingers and neck as seen from the reference

Then I proceeded to the face and here is a shot of the face

Here is a close shot of the fingers and jean trouser

And here is the final shot of both the art portrait of the picture and the framed picture.

Awwnn π₯° Thank you so much
Hello @afrikens when making a tutorial for an artwork like this, it is advisable that you show the entire process as you explain it, via images. I say that because I noticed your first image was a finished work of the sketch before you proceeded to shade it.
The same goes for the shading too, take the jeans for example, you completed the entire shading there, without explaining or showing how you did it. All we saw were two pictures, one without the shading and the other with the shading completed.
The purpose of CS (Creative Sunday) is so that we all could learn from your tutorial and be able to make an exact copy of it ourselves. Unfortunately I don't think that will be possible unless you start from the very beginning and show the steps along the way.
Thanks for the correction π and I'll ensure to abide by that so the purpose of CS is not Overrided
Screaming Talent, screaming creativity β΄οΈ...
