I have love the fact that you had close relationship with your extended family.i wish i had one.
Setting boundaries and understanding individual differences is a major factor to consider while relating with extended family.

Sorry about that but I'm sure you'd make a change with your kids, having a relationship with relatives is a blessing in ways we may not have in our immediate family.
You are right, i won't deprive them of having a relationship with their extended family.
