Slavery means one not using his human rights to do things when the need arise. This is actually the way that I see slavery.

A slave is one that is subjected to do something against his or her will. Working when you don't want to, fighting when you don't feel like, crying 😠or even laughing when you are compelled to do so. This is the lifestyle of a slave. Even when it comes to eating of food, a slave is told when to eat. It doesn't matter if he is hungry or not. It might even be that he or she has not eating since yesterday morning, but will only be allowed to eat food today and will be given only the quantity that the master wants. He or her tears doesn't matter. His or her happiness don't matter also. All he needs to do is to please his master who bought him for a purpose.
I decided to portray this picture so we can know what slavery is all about. We are talking about MODERN DAYS SLAVERY. I love the name because it is what it should be called. It is better we call it modern days so that we will know that it is not what it use to be. Before now people were sold against their wishes to other countries especially the Africans. And that is what people know as slavery. But today are we not slaves in our fathers Land? Do we have our voices here? Are we allowed to speak when we don't want what is going on in the country? Are we allowed to eat our own food? People go to farm, suffer for months only to wake up one day to see that other people with cutlasses have gone into the farm, kill the people there and carry all their farm produce and move away. No one will say anything about it. No body will be arrested as a result of that and that is how people no longer feel safe in their own houses. We can't move to our towns or villages anymore like before because everyone is afraid of been kidnapped by unknown gun men. Is there any definition of slavery other than these?
For me, I can't see any other modern days slavery more than these that I have explained. Everyone is crying 😠for freedom, but the people who should listen and come to their aids don't have ears or maybe have sold their ears in the market. Because I don't know why people who put you in power can't reach you anymore with their cries. Even when people are crying and complaining, it seems as if no one is talking. Everyone just pretend not to understand what people are going through in their little corners. Hmmm! Only God can help us.
IS THERE A WAY TO COMPLETELY ERADICATE THIS?
The question sounds very good just that the only answer I have for it, might not get to the right people and we just might continue in this slavery until when God decides to do something.
SOLUTION
To bring an end to modern days slavery in Nigeria, we need to get all our greedy politicians out of the way. As long as they are there, the problem continue and there is nothing that can be done about it. A sick person can not cure another sick person. He also needs to be healed first. The present leaders in Nigeria are the major problem of this country and we need them out of the way.
