Technology should not be a threat!

The best thing to do is the embrace technology and move with the trend. Change they say is the only thing that is constant. We can not afford to remind in the past when the present is here already. Welcome back dear friends.

A lot of people have refused to accept the fact that this change have come to stay. In fact we will soon see more of it in the nearest future. Every year we experience new things been brought by technology and it looks like life is made easier by that. Well, I can't deny the fact that it has not made life easier. The only problem I see here is that most people are misusing what we have here. What do I mean by that? If I have a skill and we have AI to help in making work faster for me, that does not mean that I should just sit down and allow the AI do everything for me. This is where people are getting it all wrong.

Take for example tje Washing machine. It was made to make the work of laundry easier. Should we just fold our arms and watch the machine do all the washing and spread the clothes. The machine is just there to help me. I have not lost my job at all. Because of the machine involved now I will do double or even triple of what I use to do a day which is good news if you ask me. I am not threatened by the presence of technology. Technology is here to help me become a better version of myself.

When I wrote my first drama book in 2018. I went through a lot of stress. Each time the inspiration comes I will write it down in my book. Take time to correct my English and later on type it in to the system. It took me three whole years to do all of that. I kept asking my English teachers to correct. When one person corrects and return back, another person will still see fault in that correction. I became tired and decide to go ahead and print my book. After some months someone called my attention to an error I never noticed till that moment. But since when I learnt how to correct my work with an app online I stopped disturbing people and it comes out even better than what people can do for me. This is just exactly what I am trying to explain. We work with those machines to ease our work and not make us lazy. I still write my book by myself, but edit it online and in months my work is ready for publication without begin people to help me edit. I know what I went through in the hands of some of my lecturers. They will tell you that they don't have time for your work and most times I become confused and don't know what to do. But today, I am using my app to do all of that. Now I can publish two different books in a year and make more money from it. Unlike before when it will take me three to four years to author a book. I am a proud author and am not ready to go back to the old way it works before now. Am happy like this. Am not lazy, but works faster now.

I don't see this as a blow to my creativity, as the prompt for week 216 episode 1 suggest, but I see it as a plus to my creativity. It has added value to what I do and that is all that matters to me. If we accept washing machine, gas cookers, electric cooler and even solar energy, then we need to accept the rest still coming because more as still coming.
