TEACH THEM YOUNG ABOUT SEX EDUCATION

When we were kids, it was not easy for our parents to tell us anything that has sex in it not even to talk about sex education. I remember my mother telling me that any day a man touches me I will get pregnant. Haha 😂😂😂. This is so funny friends because I couldn't comprehend anything. It took me more than ten years to understand what she was trying to say.

WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO TALK ABOUT SEX EDUCATION TO OUR KIDS?

I don't think there is any particular time that we should agree on. Maybe when you look at your child you will know when to start. Some children can understand from the age or four or five, while some needs more time. We really need to consider their ability to comprehend things before delving into sex education. I said so because for some children if you start teaching them about sex education earlier than it should it will end up destroying their lives. But some can understand even at the age of five.

ONCE A VICTIM

When I was growing up as a child I never had the opportunity to hear anything about sex education so I almost fell into the hands of a very bad man who is known for destroying little children by having sex with them. Maybe if I was told about sex education I would have exposed that man for who he is and save other children from him. One day he called me in to the bush and started pulling down his trouser. I didn't understand anything that he was doing so I just stood there and watch. After he is done he told me to come closer and then I wasn't comfortable with what he was asking me to do so I refused. He kept trying but I said no and left him there and ran away. All through that day I was just thinking about it but I don't know what he was trying to do. I never told any body because I don't know what to say. I only remembered it anytime I see him and that made me to always run away from him. I did nothing about it and little did I know that he has been going about doing same to little children of my age and for some he succeeded in having his way with them which left a Mark with them even when they are grown up.

That alone made me teach my children about sex early enough to help them. Especially the girls because they are more vulnerable when it comes to sex. Of course I have seen where male children are always sexually abused, but we can't compare it with the number of girls who have gone through such situations.

SEX EDUCATION IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN.

Guys I know that it sounds somehow when we want to talk about it to our children, but that is just the way out. We have heard of old men forcing themselves on children of below 5 years and some of those children died at the spot. While some carry the scare on them even in their marriage. For some it affected their sex lives long after their marriage. This is the more reason why we need to start teaching them early enough to help them when situations like that shows up. The child should be able to know what to do at the right time. The child should also know whom to talk to especially a trusted friend or family member who can provide help at the right time
