Correct a child with love and affection

As children back then we were made to understand that the whole community have the responsibility of raising a child. So it's sticks to us that whenever we go wrong anyone there have every right to correct us and our parents will even go to their house to appreciate them, there by making it almost impossible for us to do something bad just because our parents were not there.

Today everything has turned around and we see things differently from what it was before. As at the time I was in primary school, my teachers serve as a little god to me because we so adore them and believe that they are very perfect. For that reason any teacher can just see you outside the school compound and correct you when you go wrong. A teacher can see his students putting on a dirty clothes and ask the child to go back home and change, without any argument the child turns back and go home to change. That was the kind of respect we give to our teachers back then. But today all we see is the opposite of it.

THE TEACHERS ROLE

Should a teacher's role end only inside the school? The answer could be in two ways. Yes because he or she have every right to correct a child be it in school or in the market. Any elder can do that with love to any child.

No, because the school can not stand to defend that teacher when anything goes wrong. I have seen some teachers who injure a child at the process of spanking that child in school. The school can come in to stand behind that teacher if anything bad wants to happen because of that incident. Not because they support what the teacher did, but because they are trying to protect the good image of that school. Some parents can run mad if you touch their children in the name of corrections. If anything happens with a child from such home outside school, then the teacher will have to bear the consequences all by himself.

I think that if that child is no longer a child, the teacher can wait till he comes to school and maybe look for a way of correcting such a child. And when correcting the teacher needs to be very careful so as not to injure the child and bring problem to himself. Even our children at home we try to be very careful when correcting them as their parents because some of them can be so annoying and if you want to treat them by their character, you will end up killing them.

In summary, let's be very careful with the way we handle both our children and that of others because if we end up killing them all in the name of corrections, then the purpose is defeated. Correct a child with love and tomorrow he will not do it again. Some of us know the hash treatment we received when we were kids all in the name of corrections. I still have a scare in my body today because of the kind of beating that I received back then and I don't wish even my enemy to go through such.
