ALLOWANCE FOR INTERN STUDENTS

Hello great friends in this special community. I welcome you all to my blog for the second edition and I am glad that finally I am able to participate.

Is he that wears the shoes that knows where it pinches. I believe that we are all allowed to share from our own point of view. I don't know why I am feeling this way about the topic for week 214 episode 2.

The truth remains that when we go for our intern in a company or a workshop. Two things happen at that process. An intern student have all the time as long as that period is concerned to learn everything he or she wishes to learn as far as is learnable. But we will all understand that there is also this possible of that intern student to destroy an equipment worth a lot of money because of incompetency in the side of the students and it might not really be easy for the company or workshop to ask the student to pay because it is very clear that that person is still a students and may not be able to raise that amount at that time.

Considering the above two points that I mentioned I believe to give my response to the topic in two ways

SHOULD INTERNS BE PAID BY THE COMPANIES THEY ARE INTERNING AT?

Part one
I can say yes because of logistics. Remember that this is a student we are talking about and money for feeding, transportation is needed for the students to be able to be punctual. Considering the fact that it might be a very far place that the intern student is expected to go every day. How do you think it will be easy for that student without a little stipend to support. The students also need to eat like I stated at first. Food gives us the energy needed to work and so I believe that the students needs to be taken care of by that company.

Secondly, because of the fact that the student is coming to learn from the company and will not pay anything to the company Incase of any damage, I think that the payment should be something small just to sustain that student for the time being.

Some companies don't consider their intern students to support them with any thing little. All the care is that the student is learning and not paying anything, so because of that we don't give them anything.

Living them without any payment at all is not acceptable, but we should also know that they are learning for free and the company may incure damages because of that student. So we need to balance everything knowing fully well that we need to help each other stand. The company should see it as a time to help that individual to stand and the student should also not take things for granted and start expecting full payment. In fact not all companies accept intern students because of all the above mentioned.
