There are always these thoughts that people get to have from just hearing what’s happening around them. They tend to believe those ideologies so easily instead of trying to do more research about the incidence.
I was with a family friend during the coronavirus era. I lived with them for several years before coronavirus came into the picture. They knew I had my illness, such as sneezing. I sneeze too much. They will always ask me about it, and then I will tell them that there is a medication I was recommended to use.
That had been going on well until one day, they called me to a meeting with them. They said that they are scared to have me among them because they can't say if I have already caught the virus, and they won't want it to spread among them. So if there was anything I could do about it.
I was shocked to the brim. I never saw that coming, not even from them. But that's humans; they tend to change. I told them I will try getting the coronavirus vaccine. But they also went against that. That they can’t allow the agency to come for them.
I had to leave the place for the time being till the coronavirus was over. Then they realized I was just myself. The sneezing remained. I was forced to get the corona vaccine in the end.
Vaccines should be something we get at intervals, and this is because they are just there to stimulate immunity against certain diseases. It is not when the disease is already infected that you take vaccines. Vaccines should come even before the infection.
This is why there are a lot of vaccines for infants at an early age and later stages too. They are so young, they can't tell what conditions they are in at that moment, and they also can't tell any symptoms in their system.
Vaccines would help them fight against those diseases and infections without tampering with their normal state.
But there are always some misconceptions about the use of vaccines. There are times when I will hear people say, instead of going for vaccines for their kids, they would rather go for local herbs because they prove to be more effective and hazard-free compared to vaccination.
I don't blame them, but the reality behind it is that vaccines don't harm; it's those administering the vaccines the wrong way that brings harm.
I saw a girl in our community. I noticed she has been disabled since the very day I set my eyes on her. Then I questioned myself about what might have happened to her. I thought it was just natural, not until I realized that she wasn’t like that from birth. But it was due to the wrong vaccination she got in her early infancy.
Those who hear about her story will surely have a confused mindset as to the fact that vaccines are deadly. Meanwhile, it was just the problem of the people in charge.
I would say vaccines are a blessing to humanity, but medical practitioners should be more careful when administering vaccines to their patients because a slight mistake might cost their lives or have incurable effects on their health and body system.
This is my response to the HIVE LEARNERS weekly prompt in the hive-learners community for the Week 175 Edition 2, and the topic to be discussed is VACCINATIONS.
During the Covid period, I was also forced to take the vaccines due to work, I even took 3 doses, but if it were up to me, I would have only taken 1.
I can imagine the shocked expression you must have had when you heard the family you were staying with question you that way. Life happens anyways but thankfully you are fine and well and all misconceptions about your body system had been debunked.
Indeed vaccines are blessings.
Just like my friend have been crippled from childhood because if this vaccine's equally. Till date she can't walk without the help of someone
