Tax Vs Government

If there is one thing the government doesn’t joke with then I can beat my chest 100% that it’s tax. I can say that the pillar to every system of governance comes from taxpayers. If not that they take taxes, where else do you expect the government to earn from? It's not that they have a hand job or occupation they do to fetch them wealth. Yet they have accumulated more wealth than everyone.

It's surprising at times when government workers struggle to make a living, those are the workers that sacrifice their time, efforts, dedication to the government for about 30 years of their time and in the end they have little or less to account for.

But when you come across with a politician who was appointed in just few months you see them living big and in luxury in no time. You begin to wonder what kind of job they are doing that others couldn’t.

The recent war between America and China on their tariffs increase, it might be beneficial to the nation but the government will have the most benefit from it. Only if a country or nation runs without corruption or if there should be then at a minimum.

A country like Nigeria that’s struggling to develop tends to need more taxes from citizens to meet up with the developing world. And this is why they have to impose taxes on their citizens. No one would actually mind or feel it that much if they see the result of what they have paid for. But it's always a pain in the ass when you keep paying and then there is no result to show from it.

Directly or indirectly i know i am been taxed. I don't have to be under the government before i can be taxed. It doesn’t matter your class or status the government tax everyone. Sometime ago i thought all because i don’t have a registered business yet and i don't work with a company. So there is no way i get taxed.

Recently, the government continued to impose some tariffs on banks transactions. When you make withdrawal of certain amount there is an amount charged out of it depending of the amount you withdraw. The higher the amount the higher the fee. Same thing also for any amount deposited too.

All of this money is remitted to the government. So far you have a bank account and you make transactions you are automatically taxed.

No one will abuse the government or blame them for taxing us. But the challenge here is that the reason for being taxed is not giving any result. Instead the visible result is that we see they embezzling funds and claim to be fighting for the rights of the citizens.

To me I believe politicians should be among the lowest class of citizens in the country. Because they actually depend on the rest to live. They don't have a business not until they start using the embezzled funds to own multiple properties, businesses and yet not all are giving returns to the society. There are few good and loyal ones among them but majority carries the vote
