I was surprised by what I saw when I was scrolling through TikTok a few days ago. It was called a humanoid robot. I couldn’t get my eyes off it. I was just sunk in wonder about how possible it could be. I have seen robots with their mechanical appearance; they try to emulate human ways, but the difference is clear. This time around I saw one with the face and appearance of a human and then the body of a robot.
I knew life was advancing way too fast and we got a lot of this through the aid of technology. When we start with AI, it is obvious that a lot of sectors will tend to lose their jobs. Since there is now a better offer that works perfectly fine and even costs less.
So this is how technology will continue to replace human efforts, to some people it's a blessing and to some others it's a curse, it's making some people's lives better, same as if it took life from people too. Just imagine the self-driving car, just imagine a world where everyone just had to sit, relax, and trust the car to drive safely to their destinations.
Just like every other aspect of life they come with their merits and demerits too. There is always a good side of it and a bad side. To me there is nothing bad in having a robot do some of these house chores, so far they don’t trespass beyond what they are told to do.
If they are to render assistance under the control and command of the owner then it's quite fine. No one wants a stressful existence. But if not that they are self-controlled and programmed then I can say there might be some disasters in the end of it.
At some point, there is no way they can perfect those robots that will make them think and decide like humans. They can just emulate, they are not humans, and knowing what to do and what not to do at the right time is natural to humans. And a robot that has been programmed to do stuff now has to battle with human thinking of doing things without being programmed.
For example, a robot that is to assist in washing at an exact time of the day. But only when there is a power supply. Now there was a fault in the supply and I had to switch to the generator. The robot should know that it shouldn’t do anything yet till the supply is restored. But No! It will rather just head straight to do its regular routine. And this might cause unwanted scenarios and damages as the case may be.
In conclusion, we can't shy away from technology and the advantages that will come from it. But we should try as much not to be so dependent on them.
This is my response to the HIVE LEARNERS weekly prompt in the hive-learners community for the Week 169 Edition 1, and the topic to be discussed is ROBOT HELP.

Technology really is advancing fast and can make life much easier, but the balance between human control and machine autonomy is essential. In the end, the real challenge is making sure it serves people — not the other way around
Robot can indeed emulate human race, but then they are programmed. Truly, most people have seen house chores as a work where they get paid. If robots are made to do those tasks, then there won't be such a job for those people any longer.

A robot that cannot receive more instructioms from its owner is a risk. Like you said, a programmed robot will go about it's task based on the time scheduled for it it doesn't matter what changed.
