Good day to you all.
As my contribution to the Hive Learners Creative Sunday and my love for art and drawings, I decided to participate in the week's art and sketch initiative.
This is an artwork. I should call it penwork. Most art and sketches are made using pencils, but I have decided to step up my game and use a pen for all my drawings.
You can only define a true artist when they can come up with an artwork out of anything and not just so dependent on certain materials. The advantage of using a pencil over a pen is that it can be easily erased. But as for pens, once you make a mistake then you have to start over again.
Let’s journey on how I get to draw my artwork
This week I have decided to come up with something lovely. In the spirit of Eid celebration. The happiness and the joy, the overwhelming reactions from people all around. The joy of concluding our fasting over 29 day in the month of Ramadan. It really something to be grateful about.
I decided to sketch a human hand In gratitude. I am grateful for everything and i also pray i continue to witness many more years with all my loved ones and those around me too.
The first step was to freethink. I only got to bring art out, but I had no idea what the art could look like. I just have to make sure I bring something meaningful out of it.
The next step after getting the tools was to sketch, and sketching is always done to avoid mistakes. Make a light appearance of how you want the artwork to look like. And if there should be any necessary corrections then it would be way easier to amend.
At this stage, I had to sketch the first sleeves. Then i moved on to the palm and fingers, after that i drew the other sleeves and then the palms and fingers too.
After making a perfect sketch, it was time to include some values.
I made an error while drawing the second fingers, i got ot so bigger than the initial size i wanted. I should have started woth drawing the fingers first before the sleeves. But all in all as an artist you have to find away out.
Tracing is all about giving a proper and clearer view from a sketch. When you trace it gives the final chance to make changes and corrections to the artwork.
Giving it a final touch makes the art more incredible. This is where I had to give the arts some design. I traced the edges so thick which gave it the final and lively appearance. It wasn't easy getting a point that worked well for the view. But I gave my best.
After all, I got to shade and shadow it. This was to give it a better life appearance from angles.
ALL IMAGES ARE MINE
IMAGE CHARACTER WAS AN INSPIRATION FROM PIXABAY
As I mentioned, an artist is not an artist unless he creates good works
No doubt. I appreciate
So creative, you are really talented in drawing, well done
Thanks you my friend glory
This is actually my first time seeing your work. It's so detailed and cool. The hard work is pretty clear. Amazing piece.
Yeah thanks so much. I appreciate
Using a pen instead of a pencil for your artwork shows confidence and mastery, as it requires precision and commitment. The step-by-step breakdown of your creative process is insightful, making it easier for others to appreciate the effort behind the art.
The concept of drawing a human hand in gratitude is deeply meaningful, especially in the spirit of Eid. It symbolizes appreciation, prayers, and hope for more blessings. Despite the challenges, you found a way to make your artwork just as in life, where we adapt and overcome obstacles.
Great job on your piece! Keep pushing your artistic boundaries, and I look forward to seeing more of your creative works. 🎨✍🏾
Wow! Got this Amazing words from you. I really feel motivated to do more. I have swayed away from art a long time. But it feels good to be back.
Thanks for the nice words of contribution
