I’m participating in the Cityscape Photography Contest with this photo, captured during a busy evening in Lahore. I had to attend a business meeting at Barkat Market, Lahore, which is located in the heart of the city and known as one of its busiest commercial areas. The roads here are always full of traffic, offices stay active almost all day, and the nearby food streets keep the area lively. As you can see in the photo, the sky was completely overcast, and it looked like it would start raining at any moment. The grey clouds, busy road, moving vehicles, and city buildings together created a calm yet active scene. I found this moment very interesting because it shows both the rush of daily life and the peaceful feeling just before rainfall. Before leaving for home, I decided to capture this view. My home is around a 60–80 minute drive from here, but during rush hours or rain, it can easily take more than 2 hours. That’s why I didn’t want to miss this moment. This photo reflects the true spirit of Lahore—busy, fast-moving, and full of life, even under a cloudy sky.
