Trapped - PhotoFeed Contest Macro Photography 177

(edited)

It rained all through Thursday. Started in the wee hours of the morning. By evening, it had subsided into a drizzle.

I managed to get to the church for choir practice. While passing the garden, I spotted this nature's beauty - rain drops sitting on this cocoyam leaf. Caladium as it's called is a type of cocoyam that grows in the wild. Not edible because of its toxicity.

"This will make a beautiful macro shot." I thought.

So I did what I love to do - photograph it. But I had to zoom in on the leaf to get clear shots.

Simple stuff but beautiful.

The droplets deepened the pink and green veins of the leaf. Colorful. But that's not all. Inside this largest drop you'll see a tiny reflection of the sky.

I also captured droplets on elephant grass leaf too. Another nice shot.

I think I have an eye for noticing simple yet fascinating things that most people walk past. I also have an eye for taking the shots too. Lol. Honestly, not everyone would see art in a raindrop like I did with these images. Well, I think that's what makes me not just a nature enthusiast, but a photography enthusiast too.

And that's a wrap. Expect more stunning macro shots in the round.✌️
