This afternoon, as I walked back from a condolence visit to a close family friend's home, I felt weighed down so much that I couldn't help but ponder on the fragility of life. Today, one is here and tomorrow, they're gone - till eternity.
It was amidst these thoughts that I spotted a variagated Hibiscus plant, its beauty a stark contrast to my somber mood. Something about the color of the leaves - a combination of pink, white and green caught my attention, and I felt a sense of calm wash over me.
I moved closer to check it out, and saw that it had began to bloom, and the flower, a vibrant red, added a burst of life to the plant. I reached for the flower and instantly felt a lift in my spirit, a sense of peace. Perhaps this was nature's way of offering solace, a reminder that even in difficult times, beauty still exists.
Nature is truly incredible!
Well, I captured the flower, focusing on it's reproductive parts, which consists of the stigma, pistil, style, anther and filament, which makes up the male reproductive organ - stamen
I subsequently edited the images using my phone's camera features to enhance their quality.
