This weekend has been an interesting adventure by my standards and the whole thing kicked off when I embarked on a journey from Ibadan to Lagos with my younger sister. We made the trip on Saturday morning and we've been spending the weekend with my Cousin and her family who lives in Lagos.
The excitement has been wild. The kids have been full of vigor and we've all been making the best of this joyful reunion. Since we are all Christians and Catholics to be precise, this Sunday Mass celebration was well anticipated by each of us. I always like to visit the nearest Catholic Church whenever I'm spending Sunday away from home.
This isn't the first time I've visited my Cousin and her family. But this is the first Sunday I will be spending with them. We all went to bed last night knowing fully well that we will be attending 10am Mass this Sunday morning. Interestingly, when we woke up this morning, the rain started pulling its stunts on us.
It was a very dramatic turn of events although it wasn't out of the ordinary. You just never know what nature would throw on your path during rainy seasons. Haha. While it was raining in the early hours of this day, each of us carried on with what we initially planned to do in preparation for the 10am Mass.
Sunday rice was ready by 8am and each of us used the next 30 minutes to break fast. After that, we took an hour to get set for Church before my Cousin ordered a ride which took us to church. Even as we stepped out of the house to get on board the ride, rain was still having a go at us. We took the drops of rainfall like champs and the driver got us to the Church by 10:10.
That's a little late...
That's exactly what I thought but I was surprised to see that the Mass was yet to begin. I wasn't even pissed. I was happy about that. I usually like to be there before the beginning of a Mass celebration. I often feel like I'm missing something huge whenever I'm late. I also don't like to leave the church premises until the end of the Mass celebration.
Remember when I said I was happy that the Mass was yet to start when I got there by 10:10? That feeling started to change when it took a whole hour for the Mass to finally get started. A mass that was scheduled for 10am finally started by 11am and it was going on till 2:30pm.
The duration was obviously too long but there is a very good reason for that. I even recorded a 5 minutes video during the Mass celebration. It's a video you wouldn't want to miss for any reason although you have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to see the video.
I traveled without my laptop but I will be heading back to Ibadan tomorrow with an evening train. When I'm back there, I will run the video through some software on my laptop and have it uploaded on 3Speak.
Just for the record, this Sunday has been sublime, through and through. After coming back from Church, we all got to do video call with my Dad, Mum, and sister who are staying in Anambra. That's what a well-spent Sunday feels like. Hehe.
Look forward to the video that's on the way. Haha.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.

Bro, really enjoyed his Sunday and that was good to know. When next you are planning a trip, hint me so we can hook up and have some fun.
Cheers to a beautiful week...
Yes ooo. Brother. The Sunday was awesome and I'm glad I made the trip after a very workful first half of the year. Haha.
Our reconnect to make sense oooo. I need to have this in mind the next time I come around Lagos. Haha
You ate hot rice before going for mass, what then did you eat when you got back? π Oh, maybe garri or semo with egusi or vegetable soup? Biko come and finish the story.π
It's good to create time from our busy schedules and spend it with family members as it helps the bond to be stronger.
Lol... Luchyl. It's not easy oooo. I didn't even know their mass lasts for that long. We all ate rice before going and she made Egusi in the evening.
She knows that when I'm in my place alone, I don't cook soup and I don't even buy already made ones. Lol. She decided to cook soup so I can eat that before my departure.
Na so Sunday take come and go oooo.
Hehe! Why does it sound like we both have sometime in common? π I also don't like going late to church and I don't like leaving before the service ends with the feeling that I might miss something....
I guess the mass took long to start because of the rain.
I am looking forward to Feed my eyes with the video.
Lol... That's exactly the case for me ooo. If I decide that I'm going to Church, my first agenda is always to get there early enough. Haha.
The video is loading oooo. I will be sure to denoise and compress when I go back to Ibadan. It should be ready for upload on Tuesday or Wednesday. Haha.
Have an awesome new week.
Sounds like you had an amazing time at your sister's place. Spending time with family is always lovely π€
#dreemport
That's very true. It was a time well spent with her and her family. Hope you are enjoying this start to a new month.

The video made me found this post now now...lolz, wow..it was nice having you guys around. I have been explaining and explaining to the kids about your absence when they returned from school
Neto even queried me...he asked if I was the one that sent you away from our house, can u imagine π
We hope to see you again π€
Ewoooo... Neto has become my Defense Attorney πππ. Tell them to not finish you with question oooo. Lol.
It was a very good time being with y'all. It was just a few days but the memories will live on forever. I know I'm already looking forward to the next time we all will meet again. Haha. Hopefully, it will be for a very good reason.
Relationship between siblings is interesting but more interesting when its extended to close relative members too.
I'm sure your cousin had as much fun as you did most especially the children.
#dreemerforlife
That's true. I know what it's like to have an extended family that doesn't really feel like a family. That's why I'm always glad when I'm with the part of my extended family who are lovely.
We all enjoyed the moments we spent together.
It's a good thing.. Keep up boss.
Am just sha envious of you a lilπ

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! π
We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.
For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
