Coffee is an essential stimulant for many. It gives us much energy that helps us break through the haze of sleep. It turns our slow mornings into a very active beginning. It supplies our mind and body to take on the ventures that will get along the day.

As we are having our coffee at the balcony of our hotel, we see the beautiful glow of the white sand and crystal blue waters of the beach. We sit in silence for a moment as we savour the serenity around us, the feeling of contentment and the rich aroma of our coffee. Morning like this reminds me and my hubby the beauty in simplicity.

After we enjoy the moment of silence, while sipping our coffee, we begin to reflect about our journey. We talked about our challenges that we had gone through. There were days that when the weight of the world was too much to bear. The sacrifices we made, working far from each other, work tirelessly and making tough decisions. Those struggles have shaped us and made us stronger. And in every hardship, was worth it. Now we look to the life we’ve created, the comfort and stability of our family. We can’t really believe that we are now in the place that we thought it will just be a dream. We can see in our faces the big smile and absolute happiness while enjoying our coffee facing the number one place in our wish list to visit and explore.

A cup of coffee acts as a bridge in connecting us to those memories, maybe bad or good, happy or sad, struggles or wins, to our weakest or to our strongest. No matter what is happening, a cup of coffee is a happiness in its simplest form.
