Happy Coffee Day in three postcards
I don't remember exactly when I had my first cup of coffee. Maybe it was when I spent the afternoons at my grandmother's house as a child. She would give us sweet bread and coffee with milk at snack time. I think that's the first memory I'm aware of related to having coffee. Since then, I have drunk a lot of coffee. But in all this time of being a coffee lover, I never knew that October 1st was International Coffee Day. But now thanks to my friends in the Cinnamon Cup Coffee Community, I know. And of course, I'm going to celebrate it with you, coffee friends.
So let me share with you three of my cherished coffee moments.
Dear R,
I can't believe it's been a year since we had that coffee a few hours before you got on the plane and started a new stage of your life. We've had a few coffees since then, though not as many as I'd like.
I look forward to seeing you soon, hugging you, and chatting while we have a couple of espressos just the way you like them.

This first postcard is for my son. We had the coffee on the pic the afternoon before we took him to the airport to take the plane to go study abroad. He has turned out to be a coffee lover like us. I miss him very much although I am very happy for him and all his achievements. But I can't wait to have him home and lay on the couch to chat over a cup of coffee.
Dear E,
How is it possible that it's International Coffee Day and we haven't met up for a creamy cappuccino and catch up. We should be able to remedy that as soon as possible. I hope you'll be free tomorrow to meet at our usual coffee place.

E has been my friend since we were in kindergarten. She is one of those friends who has always been in my life in good times and bad. Sometimes, we don't see each other as much as we would like because day-to-day life doesn't allow us. But whenever we can, we get together to have a coffee and catch up. And we promise each other every time that we will do it more often, hehe. That cappuccino is the one I took on our latest coffee out.
Dear Me,
This postcard is for you to remember that your me time in the morning while you enjoy your cup of coffee looking out the balcony should not be skipped no matter how busy the day is projected to be. It is one of those little details of life that are priceless, and you deserve to have it every day.

My morning coffee is one of those sacred moments of the day in which I dedicate time for myself. To ruminate in my thoughts while sipping my coffee. However, some days I let the hustle and bustle of what's coming up make that moment fade away and although there is always coffee, there are days that I drink it in a flash, hehe.

When was my 1st coffee? Can't remember too but perhaps it was sharing a sip from a cup of my Mom since she is a coffee lover.

Awesome postcards! 😍 I hope someday when my kiddos grow up, they like coffee too. That's a great bond to be able to share, especially paired with all the yummy stuff from card #1!
A good friend to share a coffee with is fabulous too... And that first coffee of the day in solitude, that's pure gold! I try to wake up early enough to just sit and sip my first mug, I always feel I have a more put together day after that. Thanks for the fantastic read 😁

And yep! You are right, that first cup in the morning when we are with ourselves in total calm is pure gold. I used to be quite disciplined when my son was young to get up very early to have that moment before starting the bustle of the day. But as I've gotten older, I'm not so disciplined and there are days when that moment disappears to my regret.

This was so emotional to read. Especially the third one where you write to yourself. This contest has made me understand that coffee is not just a drink but a tradition and a lifestyle. I'm pretty sure the mornings you stand out by the balcony to reflect and admire nature, will never feel the same without coffee.
Parting from our parents is usually hard, and I'm certain your boy misses you just as much as you miss him, if not more. I wish him well in his studies and Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us.

Cant remember my first coffee, but remember that I didnt like it. This came later when I started to meet friends for a coffee and it came with lot of milk and sugar in it 😅

I think most people start drinking coffee with sugar. I really can't drink black coffee with sugar, I don't like it at all. But if it has milk in it, I'll pass it a little more.

I also have beautiful memories of my first cups of coffee, and it was with my grandparents that I learned to drink it.
Coffee, like music, is a good companion, it is the ideal company for all types of emotions, no matter how you feel, sad, thoughtful, very happy, a cup of coffee in your hands is the company.

Aawww what a sweat postcards! I don't remember my first cup of coffee but when I used to visit every summer my family that lives by the mountains in a small village, the breakfast or the afternoon snack was a piece of bread and a cup of coffee with milk, usually with sugar also.
From there, I've been drinking coffee every day, I love it and specially have a cup in a coffee shop where is well prepared.
It was a pleasant surprise to see that you opted, like me, for the first option of the contest. There is definitely a special synchronicity. I loved each of your postcards and the one with the mug made me smile. Very original and creative, my dear @coquicoin.
