Forever in my Heart

As the year comes to an end I can’t believe a lot of people started this year with us but they are no more, some made it so far but sadly won’t be joining us in 2025.
It’s so sad that you just have to say goodbye to certain people at some point in your life. Sometimes I wonder how the world would be if people didn’t have to die, or at least even if they had to die, dying at an old age wouldn’t be a bad one. I guess since I’m not the creator, I can’t determine what goes on in the world.

This year, I lost four people who were dear to me but the most recent was the death of a friend and my uncle’s wife.

I lost my friend Kelvin to the cold hands of death a few weeks ago. Kelvin was a happy soul, he was our comedian, he was always cracking us up without us paying a dime for his services, he was so sweet and full of life. Kelvin was that friend that never got angry or sad.

Kelvin never failed to tease me, whenever he saw me he’d say “Let me make money, I must marry you”, he’d go on and on about me being his wife and we would laugh about it.

You can never see Kelvin sad even if the weight of the world was on his shoulders.
I didn’t know he passed on until a mutual friend of ours informed me, I was speechless, sad, and broken.
How do you see someone today and never get to see them again or hear them call your name? How do you move on from losing someone so kind and dear to you? How?

We were told Kelvin felt a kind of way so he had to go to the hospital but sadly he never came back, he left this world. Just like that? His time on earth was over? Wow!

I lost my uncle's wife a few days ago and since then I have been hurting so badly. She was a victim of a fire explosion of some sort, at some point, she was recuperating but we later discovered that the burns and the severe damage the fire had on her was just too much and she just couldn’t survive it.

She died leaving her three kids orphans as my uncle died a few years ago too.
Seeing how much pain my cousins are going through breaks my heart. How would they go through this world without having anyone to call their own? No father or mother to run to in good times and in bad times?
This would be the second time my cousins would have to go through this type of pain and it's heart-wrenching to witness it.

Our only consolation is that she is in a better place free of pain, as her last days on earth were very tough.

RIP to these special people and I pray the Lord comforts us and gives us the grace to move on, especially to the loved ones they left behind, as they are the first ones who would really feel the pain of their demise.

All images are mine except otherwise stated.

Thanks for stopping by
Loads of Love🥰🥰

This is so sad. Kai, I can imagine the pain and grief these deaths have caused you.
Take heart dear.
I feel for your cousins, being orphans isn't what anyone would wish for but life happens. I just wish life would be kind to them.

This year was really something, and I know next year will also bring new challenges. We still need to learn so much…but that's life, and I know we will come through in one piece;)

I'm deeply sorry for your loss dear, please do take heart.
I feel for your cousins, I wish no kids ever have to experience the loss of their parents at such a young age.
I pray that God see them through and keep watching over them.

May the souls of those who are gone continue to rest in peace.

Its always really tragic when someone passes on. You still seem to be quite young but you know, it will start to happen a lot more often as you get older. I'm not quite there yet because I am only in my 40s but these days when I get news of someone moving to the afterlife it usually isn't even very surprising. For example in our bowling group that I established here in Vietnam we have had 3 of our members that are no longer in the group photos we take every year and I am sure that there will be more that aren't in it as the years go by. Death is a dreadful part of life and we all need to have the strength to get through it.

I'm sorry for you loss. be strong!

You're totally correct, I think the older we get the thicker our skins become but then again nothing prepares one for the death of a loved one.

I'm sorry for you loss. be strong!

Thank you and I am also sorry for your loss too.
