These days, there are so many devices you can use to enjoy music—EarPods, wired earpieces, headphones, loudspeakers—you name it. Everyone has their own way of listening, but for me, I’ve always preferred the good old wired earpiece. In fact, I’ve never actually bought a pair of EarPods before, and that’s simply because I like knowing that I can plug in and listen to music anytime without worrying about charging anything.
That’s one of the biggest issues I have with EarPods. Sure, they’re wireless and convenient for some people, but once the battery runs out, you have to wait for them to charge again before you can use them. With a wired earpiece, it’s just plug-and-play. No stress, no waiting. As long as my phone has power, I’m good to go.
When it comes to choosing the right wired earpiece, I’ve tested a few, but the one that really stands out for me is Oraimo. I’ve been using their wired earpiece for a while now, and I honestly love the sound quality. The bass is heavy in a good way, and it brings out the beat of every song. Whether I’m listening to Afrobeats, hip-hop, or gospel, the sound just hits differently. That deep bass and clear vocals make the experience more enjoyable.
Even as I’m writing this, I’m using my Oraimo earpiece and listening to some soft tunes. It helps me stay focused and keeps me in a calm mood. Most times, I use my earpiece when I just want to be alone and enjoy my space without noise or disturbance. It also helps when I want to avoid distractions—once I plug in my earpiece, people usually get the message that I’m in my own zone.
That said, I’m not always in quiet mode. I also enjoy blasting music on loudspeakers, especially when I want to dance or vibe with friends. I actually love dancing, and nothing gets me in the mood more than loud, energetic music. One of my close friends owns a big JBL music box, and whenever we hang out in my room, we usually set it up and just have a great time. We play music, dance, laugh, and forget about stress for a while. Loudspeakers are perfect for those lively moments when it’s all about fun and movement.
So, in the end, it depends on my mood. When I want peace, focus, or solitude, I go for my wired earpiece. But when I’m in the mood for fun, dancing, and shared energy, it’s loudspeakers all the way.
