Windows shortcut extensions in my Life

I like computer shortcuts cos they make my life easier. But when I read the digi-prompt for this week, I was astonished by how someone could’ve thought that up. I thought my mind was weird, but I’ve clearly been dethroned.

I use Microsoft word a lot, so I’ve become accustomed to heavily relying on popular shortcuts like Save, Cut, Copy, Paste. I’ve never imagined if my word shortcuts could extend into my life somehow, but after thinking through this digi-prompt, I honestly should’ve seen some of these connections sooner, especially as someone that thinks weird for a living. Lol. But say this was possible at all, let’s take a look at some of the shortcuts I most definitely would use often.

Alt + F4, followed by F5

Everyone has a couple of days sometimes where you wish you could take a break from everything you’re doing and get some well-deserved rest or entertainment. On days like this, a simple Alt + F4 allows you close the chapter on all the stress, and F5 gives you refreshment and rejuvenation.

Ctrl + Enter

On some of those days, you’re very unmotivated and dull, but on other days when the stress gets overwhelming, all you want to do is zoom out and zone out. Entering and exiting fullscreen allows me manage the overwhelming and underwhelming days.

Ctrl + S

As an early adult, I continuously shift between aha moments of extreme clarity on what I’m doing with my life to panic on not knowing what I’m doing at all. I usually find myself wishing I could save the moments of clarity in all the haze so I can stay safe and secure in feeling whenever the panic hits.

Win + PrtSc

I am very fond of taking pictures of nature, but something I’ve realized about myself is that the moments I actually am the happiest and present, I have very few pictures of. I get so lost in the moments that I forget to take pictures. So, the people I actually like being around the most (my friends and family) I have very few pictures with them, which is counterintuitive because you would think that those are rather the people You’d rather have more memories with. I wish I could just continue to enjoy my moments whiles taking screenshots of them to keep as memories.

Ctrl + Z

I know a lot of people would likely be happy to be able to undo some mistakes they made in the past, but I digress on that. I believe that the mistakes we make are important in forming the basis of our decisions later on in life. If you take a close look at it, learning from those mistakes are the only way we can truly say we have “matured”, because maturity is just foresight built from experiences and lessons. I take all my mistakes in stride, aware that I am becoming a more mature and experienced fpr each one I make.

Good morning mate, hope you're well.
Theres a brilliant extension called Lightshot screenshots that allows you to take a screenshot and crop the screen area and then save it, copy it and edit all in one go. It also takes over your prnt scr button. I find I use it all the time. It might be just what your life needs lol
Have a great weekend fella :-)

This is me reblogging this post because I found out some shortcuts I never thought of but are necessary. Like the first shortcut and that of taking screenshot, you know I still don't understand how that screenshot on laptop works.

I love how you relate them to our daily lives, how we wished we could undo some mistakes in our lives, but instead, we should see them as part of the failures we'd learn from. Great post 👍
