Hallo..good evening friends of the #FungiFriday Community, we have arrived again on Friday. I hope all my friends are in good health always.
Walking around the grounds of Sukma Bangsa Lhokseumawe School in two or three days in search of mushrooms is a must for me, how can I not because it has been raining almost every day in our area for the past week. Yes .. as we know that mushrooms will be easy to thrive when the rainy season arrives. Here I will share with my friends all the types of mushrooms that I found.
Shimeji group of edible mushrooms, native to East Asia, but also found in northern Europe. Hon-shimeji (Lyophyllum shimeji) is a mycorrhizal fungus and is difficult to cultivate. Other species are saprotrophs, and buna-shimeji (Hypsizygus tesselatus) and are now widely cultivated. Shimeji is rich in umami-flavored compounds such as guanylic acid, glutamic acid, and aspartic acid.
Here I also want to explain that I don't know much about the types of mushrooms, so after I took a picture of the mushroom I found then I matched it to "Google Lens" to find out the name and type of mushroom I found. Finally I found a photo on google lens that was exactly the same as the mushroom I found on the Sukma Bangsa School page, namely Shimeji Mushroom.
